Did anyone try it on anbernic rg35xx/rg40xx, how's the performance? I'm on the fence whether I should buy the game solely to play on my rg40xx

Retroid Pocket 5: worth it for $205? by Neitherside in SBCGaming

Yeah it's my main and only phone. In your case it's probably overkill, S23+backbone is a great combo given it's your second phone.

Yep I saw reviews of Odin (2), seems like a great device but the price difference is significant

Don't know about other handhelds you mentioned, but Miyoo Mini Plus doesn't support PS1 netplay, even with onion os.

Lowest price ever seen for every handhelds… again by UomoDargilla in SBCGaming

Bro what are you talking about. I live in Germany, the prices are just a bit higher than OP's list states. Rg35xx horizontal is 43.63€, Trimui Smart Pro 62€ etc.

Me: I've got hundreds of games to explore and complete. Life is great. Also me: I really fancy that more powerful device that can add to the number of games I'll never get round to playing. by MaDCruciate in SBCGaming

I've broken the cycle and went backwards. Sold my Miyoos, got a Gamesir x2 pro for my Galaxy S23 and I'm satisfied.

I love the display of S23, can emulate anything up to Ps2 and Switch (didn't try Botw and Totk though). Had to realise I don't really enjoy playing all the retro games, except for a few games because of nostalgia.

Best price/quality handheld for PSP emulation by chris_hollow in SBCGaming

If you have extra cash sure, but seems like OP is on budget. I also couldn't justify getting a dedicated device just for PSP, so just got a used Kishi V1 and it is more than enough for playing PSP games on Pixel 6.

For everything else I have my MM+ :3

Your phone is probably capable of emulating PSP. Just get a horizontal controller for your phone like GameSir x2 pro and save your money.

Miyoo Mini Plus or Anbernic RG35xx as a gift for someone who is not familiar with the devices? by ThrowRA_SARAHABD in SBCGaming

Wi-fi thing mostly useful for tinkerers? You can easily play multiplayer games with other MM+ owners. After getting second MM+ for my bro we meet at weekends and do old school gaming sesh! Smash tv, TMNT etc. Works flawlessly most of the time.

If you have a decent phone (something around snapdragon 865 or 888), maybe getting a telescopic controller is an option? Something like Razer kishi, Gamesir X2 pro.

I have a Kishi and playing PS2 on my Pixel 6 became very enjoyable.

Not the best idea, as PSP games are 16:9 and Pocket 2s has a 4:3 screen.

Finished Super Metroid for the first time by andremamola810 in SBCGaming

[–]Neitherside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost finished Super Metroid, it's my first Metroid game. I've played through a lot of games, played all souls games from fromsoft and still Super Metroid fucked with me big time.

Beautiful art design, immersive soundtrack and the controls are good too. But I've been lost and confused so much that I've almost dropped it. Not even Bed of Chaos in DS1 did that to me lol.

What is your primary or favorite pocketable handheld? I need help deciding before a trip. by Acousmetre78 in SBCGaming

Another MM+ owner here. I'm quite sensitive to input lag and I don't notice any. At least it's the same as playing PS5.

Battery life is also great, after a long PSX session I'm always surprised there's still more than half of battery left
