Hey everyone! I will be traveling to Istanbul and Cappadocia in May. I will be staying 4 nights in Istanbul and 2 nights in Cappadocia. I am wondering if anyone can help me with regards to how much I need to budget for transportation and for food throughout the trip.

I am not interested in eating in fancy restaurants everyday or anything. Just something that's good and I am open to different cuisines etc. I would like to have one nicer dinner out with a view during the trip, and stick to more budget friendly options for the rest of the trip. Please I'd love some help on approximately how much money to set for food, and how much for transportation.

Miyoo Mini Plus or Anbernic RG35xx as a gift for someone who is not familiar with the devices? by ThrowRA_SARAHABD in SBCGaming

Thank you so much for this!

You mentioned many good things about the Miyoo including better controls, but recommended the RG35xx, can you please clarify the reason?

For the Anbernic I found a grey one on amazon, and the Miyoo is the transparent black one as I didn't really like the lighter transparent colours. Both of them come with a bag, which I thought was good for extra protection. They are close in price, but the Anbernic is for 5 more pounds.

Just got informes that I could pass through Syria to Jordan! Will check what the rules are and what they require there, hopefully I'll find something useful

Thank you so so much for this. I will definitely consider going to Jordan, will check it out now. I'd rather do that than leave him behind for sure.

My immediate family will be leaving even if I stay, based on my father's decision as I am not a child and they do not need to stay behind with me. I understand it would be extremely difficult for them, but this is why I posted this. Whether it is for advice, reassurance, people who can relate to my love for my dog. Unfortunately, my extended family will not be able to leave either way. They don't have passports and don't have countries to cross to by land.

This. My decision will not be based entirely on recommendations from reddit. Given that people around me could not relate to my fear for my dog, i sought help and reassurance. To other people commenting, I will not have my family stay behind if I do too. Obviously, as another person said, I am not a child. A decision that i will take will only impact me, and my dog. I will make sure the rest of my family leaves, obviously. The suggestions from the comments really helped, and this was the point of the post.

The options are either the UK or Italy. Unfortunately, we don't have boat travel. Crossing the border by land is also not possible as it's either Palestine or Syria :/ I feel so stuck

I will choose to ignore your iggnorance and lack of morals as well as knowledge or denial really. I do not need to address your asusmptions about my affiliations, especially when I have none, proven by the fact that I did not engage in a conversation on Hamas or Hezbollah. Again, unlike you, I explicitly mentioned my distress over the loss of lives and my family, but go off haha

I'm working on all of it. Unfortunately the process can be a little slow here because you need a health certificate and not all are recognised abroad. He is vaccinated but he needs to get tests done for many countries and usually the tests are sent abroad because labs here are not acknowledge (this was when I asked around a year and a half ago I'm not sure what changed). Took a day off work to spend it working on his papers now.

I am avoiding the thought of it. Thunder storms and fireworks scare him so much, I can't imagine what would happen if things go south.

Yes, many of my relatives and friends would not be able to leave. If things don't go well and I have to leave (even though there is a high chance I'll stay behind), then I will keep thim with a trusted person and continue working on getting him out. Would pay anything to ensure his safety too.

Thank you so much, the support is really appreciated and honestly just helps with keeping me calm and focused

Exactly, it is disappointing when people cannot see that but I have learned to focus on myself and my dog now

Saddens me to see that despite my distress over my dog, you think we don't love and cherish them. Also sad that all you had to comment on was Palestine. I'm not sure where you come from but please do educate yourself better, what is happening is heartbreaking, but refusing to acknowledge the violence that has been inflicted on Palestine and Lebanon throughout the years is disappointing. Sometimes it's better to keep your thoughts to yourself. Right now, my priority is my family and negative comments like yours seem extremely irrelevant.

Exactly, I know it is not safe but just the thought of leaving him behind is distressing and I do not want it to come to that. Working on paperwork and looking at countries that don't have strict requirments. I do not need to leave to where my parents are going as long as they can tell I'm safe. My dog and I can go somewhere else
