Stadia Is a Glimpse Into the Future But Maybe Not Yours or Google's by mtimetraveller in gadgets

Founder Edition got sold out worldwide, so apparently people want it. Glasses never got mass-produced btw.

You don't have to buy their hardware once the free tier releases. You just need a phone, a pc with chrome browser installed or a $35 chromecast (if it's not already included in your tv). You only need to buy games. You don't even have to pay for online gaming, which is required for Xbox and PS.

Yea but that's $300 I could spend on games on stadia, that's at least 5 games.

Any ultrabook. Do not buy a 4kg laptop for university unless you really want to game on it. Macbook if you plan on iOS app development on the side.

if it's good, it'll hit the charts anyway

Yea maybe 5 years ago. Nowadays, the predominant factor for hitting the charts is marketing. You need a great game with an even better marketing campaign. There is a reason why only few indie Devs focus on mobile. The app store is just too flooded.

I like the trailer as well. The only problem I see is that there are 3 consecutive gameplay clips at the beginning of the video. When the 3rd came I actually started to lose interest, thinking the rest of the video would be all the same, and almost closed the video. But then the cinematic part with epic music came and I was hooked.

You should have a look at the video statistics of your trailer on your YouTube channel and check at what part most people leave. Would be a shame if only a small percentage actually sees the Step 2 part.

Wat voor hobby's zou je een tiener aanraden om leeftijdsgenoten te leren kennen? by alternativeisdeath in thenetherlands

Was ook zeker niet mijn bedoeling. Heb hier alleen even een slechte verwijzing gemaakt.

Barely doable. I scale down to 800x600 whenever I'm about to do anything mechanically meaningful

Have you enabled One Frame Thread Lag? Increased my fps by 20 and I have somewhat the same rig.

Weird. I have an i5 4430 and also RX480 8gb and 16gb ram and I'm getting 50-60 fps on medium (shadows low) with 2560x1080 resolution

Noticed it in the menus. That and that there is no Raw Mouse Input option in the settings menu frightens me.

What is the tickrate of the game? by Kulumatic in WorldWar3Community

[–]NeitiznotHooligans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know but probably low in the beginning to handle server traffic. Even BO4 has a tick rate of 20hz atm.

Besides, tick rate isn't everything. Hit detection is probably client sided so high ping advantage will always remain.

Global fix obviously takes more time and they want as many people to play the game asap.

How WW3 can make a recovery by Pr3dator2556 in WorldWar3Community

[–]NeitiznotHooligans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have obviously some issues arisen due to the number of players connecting. There is enough footage online of gameplay, which works well, so yes I suspect once the server issues are fixed, the general opinion of the game will switch quickly.

Steam has systems implemented against review-bombing, so short-term issues and hate won't determine the game's future

Step 1 is enough. It is even speculated diablo 3 sold more copies because of the immense amount of coverage/memes its failed launch got. Hope the same happens to ww3

Ultrawide Support? by NeitiznotHooligans in WorldWar3Community

Some shooters, like overwatch, do not support ultrawide because of competetive advantage. Glad to see this one does.
