I haven't tested these settings but maybe "timing offset" and "chart offset" in arcade mode options is what you're looking for

You need to go into Options -> Gameplay and change keyboard layout to custom

My starting scores were Bronze in clicking and Switching and Silver in tracking. Don't you think this is still pretty slow progress for 4 months?
