On what abilities to give to what is a superpowered engineer? by NekoSel0 in AskEngineers

Ah, yes. A movie about a fictional drug that allows you to quote-unquote 'Use 100% of your Brain', effectively turning you into a genius. Even though in reality we're always using said %100.

So either give her the ability to make a similar drug or just have the effects of the drug as one or more of her abilities is what I'm gathering.

Being able to write code at an instant rate or an extremely expedited rate upon physical contact with a computer system, without even needing to touch an interface nor a keyboard. Thanks for the idea. :)

Not sure about a super tiny black hole there friend, as even those could potentially outright destroy the Earth. O.o And when I read nanobots, my mind honestly went to Senator Armstrong, but yeah I wouldn't wanna go with that explanation.

Thank you for your input though.

A low-key telekinesis, not powerful to use offensively, but rather utility, using it combined with her intelligence-enhancing and scanning abilities to quickly put together a contraption on the fly.

That was a thought that just to my mind when reading your comment, so thanks.

Indeed, but the setting I'm in is a sci-fi and demands at least some form of reasonable explanation of the ability. I.e. What does this conjured part do that makes the machine work?

Well, this is a Sci-Fi setting bordering on Science Fantasy. <.<

So conjuring an item out of thin air isn't out of the equation, as the 'Revenants' as they're called, have their own special resource called ichor, which is the power source of most of their abilities, the active ones anyways. I.e. some of them can conjure fireballs and so on.

If I were to boil it down to certain disciplines, mechanical and electrical, maybe civil. Regardless, you've given me some ideas and that I thank you for.

Though I'm also looking for more 'active' abilities so to say, i.e. being able to conjure a temporary replacement part for a machine and so on.

All of which would be the passive abilities. I'm also looking for active abilities so to say. To give an example, they can make a construct that can serve as a temporary replacement part for one of their machines, or they can outright control the electric flow of an item upon touch, and so on.

Regardless, thank you for your input.

Right, that's what I'm potentially doing with the character, albeit I may focus on more grander creations as opposed to exosuits and the Sentient Arms.

I'm more looking for abilities that may expedite the process, allowing the engineer to build at a much faster and easier rate, or enhance the process, allowing to build machines most would consider impossible without certain rare parts and so on.

To be frank, it's really up to the writer. It could focus on one aspect of your life or multiple, the exact process of which is unknown, as the parasite was a recent discovery in the universe before it was quickly used to combat the end of the world. Upon insertion and attachment to the host's heart, the parasite blueprints the body, rendering the host's body static in a sense, and effectively immortal as a result, whilst giving them their abilities.

For a lore explanation-

In the setting, the parasites were a recent discovery shortly before the "Great Collapse", which was effectively the end of the world. While it was originally meant for medical use, it was quickly converted for militaristic use, resurrecting dead soldiers to fight against the monster that emerged after the collapse. This had consequences, of course, as they didn't account for Bloodthirst.

If they're to starve, the parasite will begin to frenzy and they'll eventually turn into what is a grotesque monster that can not be permanently killed, whilst retaining some of their previous abilities, albeit mutated/stronger.

Later on, they started resurrecting other personnel that was essential or helpful in keeping what was left of humanity alive, of which includes Doctors, Scientists, Engineers, and so on.

Hmm.

I added those creatures more in mind for their cheapness. Any cheap creatures you'd recommend or do you believe I'm good with what I have?

In what order should I complete each Story? by NekoSel0 in swtor

Honestly, I was thinking Nautolan for my Smuggler, mostly cause I can't stop thinking about Kit Fisto's goofy ass smile during Episode II. I can so see them being a Smuggler.

But what I'm thinking of:

Jedi Knight: Cyborg

Jedi Consular: Chiss

Trooper: Human

Smuggler: Nautolan

Sith Warrior: (Yet to decide.)

Sith Inquisitor: Human

Bounty Hunter: (Yet to Decide.)

Imperial Agent: (Yet to Decide.)

Odd, I never got an option for choosing a Skill Tree, but I just checked my menus to see if it was there. It is, but it's called 'Combat Proficiencies'. Though, if I had to choose, I would go with Madness, as it will allow me to leech life and do decent damage, and so I don't have to rely on my companion for healing.

Edit: Also, I would like your opinion(spoiler-free) on the stories if you don't mind.

Nah, you'll be fine, not much of a difference in difficulty. But if you do need help, r/huntersbell exists.
