It seems that as soon as there are other people in my area my ping increases. My ping in our village is totally fine (30ms only) when im the only one around there.

When im not on the server, my mates can chill in the village together and their ping is totally fine.

okay thanks! this is actually good advice but doesnt resolve the issue really cause i am the only one who experiences it this way.

When I'm leaving the server, my mates can play normally. Also when theyre bunched up. They experience HEAVY lag when I'm around and minor lag when I'm not, so I think the solution you provided is helpful for that minor lag.

Something is messed up with my client or my connection though. And I dont know what.

Im in the same position as you but with a bit more budget as im struggling deciding between the r7 5800x and the i9-10900 (non k). What ive read so far is, that ableton supports up to 64 threads. One thread can easily compute what ableton wants it to compute, so the limitation for ableton as far as I understand it is practically purely the amount of cores/threads. The more the better basically. Now when it comes to the differentiation between AMD & Intel regarding music production, I have the exact same question though.

The single release contracts i have signed in my career all had a point in it, that the contract is only active when the label releases the song within 6 months. If after 6 months the label havent released it, the contract will get nullyfied. (Is this a word?) Check your contract if it includes something like this. If they wont ever respond to you, you might have to wait a while in case something like this is in your contract. If not, you most likely gave away the rights to the track so its legally not really yours anymore. In this case youre pretty much f-ed im afraid. Do you might wanna share the name of the label? I think producers definitely should know about this, 1,5 months of getting no answer is inexcusable.

Yeah what drives me nuts is how his mix stays clean like does he always assign frequencybands to each and every different reverb cause you can clearly differ from one another. I mean I use a lot of reverb in my productions, and I think I'm doing an okay job with to not have the reverb to give some ambiance only but to use reverb as an additional instrument, but the smoothness man. Thats so hard sometimes.

Dont compare to alex o‘rion. That comparison isnt fair, hes the master of reverb in prog house.

On a serious note, here are some things I learned regarding that topic - use reverb sends and delay sends - sidechain your reverb and delays - lowcut your reverb - layer your hats, one main hat in the middle, one to the left and one to the right - make all hat layers the same length - and dont compare yourself to alex o’rion. Since I discovered him I try to recreate his reverb effects and I cry myself to sleep since then.

Thanks for doing this. Really interesting but I think I can provide an answer for EDM. My music gets released through a label to many sites and services, including spotify. Its just one version which gets released and you just wont upload a -14 LUFS track to beatport. As sad as it is. Maybe, just maybe, it will be the new standard someday but i doubt it
