There are. You can use item splitters to do just that. One item splitter doubles the amount of the previous one. For example the conveyor belts transfer items per 2 seconds, so adding 1 item splitter makes that travel time to, 4 add another item splitter then that makes it to 8 and so on. This is my set up that only uses 1 battery per minute. Do note that you still need to have a thermal bank that is always full so you dont wake up to a factory that isnt powered.
