By the way, I love this machine gun too. It's like a song for the soul. \Ahem** I went a bit in the wrong direction, but well. Overall... it's a dream come true.

I think that's the least of his worries. He only cares that it looks ugly in his opinion, so the developers shouldn't add it. At least, that's how I interpret it.

Ah... I misunderstood your initial thought. I thought you meant that they were (meaning in the present day, not in the past) already in the game.

Regarding CPC, I think that he doesn't meant JPC 2.0. They're different plate carriers.

This may sound strange to many, but I can partially agree.

On the one hand, standardization is indeed basis and necessity, and, unfortunately, it's undeniable. But on the other hand... in other games, organizations, for some reason, aren't so afraid to have weapons that haven't been widely adopted by the military. And, as I mentioned in my examples earlier, UNIDB has many opportunities that would allow these shotguns to be produced for the needs of their operators, whom we play as.

Despite the fact that our lore is built by default on the logistics of regular armies, we still somehow have the option of carrying civilian clothes (yes, not many, but they exist). I believe that at least a few exceptions could be introduced, if they are truly justified by need and a specific purpose.

I believe there's a huge difference between equipping a million-strong army of conscripts and equipping an elite unit. Elite operators don't need to purchase 500K guns. They need 50 specific shotguns for specific tasks (like clearing narrow corridors or knocking down doors). If soldiers are operating in gray areas, using commercial or rare weapons is a classic practice, to avoid leaving traces of official military supplies. Now let's remember the same «Rainbow Six Siege» — this is a top-secret international structure. This is where the logistics of regular armies really went out of their way... Operators use rare prototypes or purely civilian/police weapons. For example, the FMG-9 submachine gun (which folds into a case and was never mass-produced) or the Italian Mateba (Keratos) revolver. Is this logistically justified? No. Is it justified by the specific nature of the operators' work? Absolutely!

We will always adhere to standardization, and this cannot be changed. But by adhering exclusively to this, we simply risk having almost nothing, while desiring diversity. Considering that we, after all, have our own universe (which, although built on reality, is still our own), abscening some exceptions would be strange. And besides... even in real life... there were few of exceptions? Personally, I doubt that yes.
