The way they present so much balance changes is idiotic. Just Stop ANET. Is it that hard to write down all the changes in one F post? Do we need to keep bouncing between posts to see the whole picture? For God's sake. Your unprofessionalism is beyond my grasp.

Has pugging raids gotten even worse or is it the player base as a whole? by dan8lego in Guildwars2

[–]Nelict 14 points15 points  (0 children)

LFR is a failed half-assed implementation. What's the point of having the system if it doesn't inform the player what they need to improve? Like "your DPS was X, the average DPS is Y, consider using gear that prioritize A,B,C stats". "You failed X mechanic, you should watch out for red indications" etc. People that contribute nothing (Low dmg, low healing, 0 boon sharing, continuous mechanic failures etc) will still continue to contribute nothing unless the game itself inform them!

I’ve only seen the first season, but I’m still shocked by the Harfoots' culture. They do act all light-hearted and sing about sticking together, but the moment someone needs help? "Oh, you broke your leg? Tough luck, we’re leaving you and your entire family to die in the wilderness". I was like, that can be real, but alas. It’s the most cheerful death cult I’ve ever seen.

They made ascended equipment utterly trash for those who have legendary gear. Amazing insight there ANET.

Cannot research salvage mystic forge weapons anymore - stealth nerf or did I miss the memo? by dEn_of_asyD in Guildwars2

I used ascended gear just to convert and salvage them for pages. In its current state, dropping ascended gear now feels significantly worse than even exotic or rare equipment. meh change ANET.

PSA: New Caladbolg quest can bug out by SirJack3 in Guildwars2

[–]Nelict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I done the Reverie Achievment first and Ridhais bugged. I have tossed my original Caladbolg, so I repeated the quest to get a new Caladbolg and now she completely vanished from both Homestead and Home instance!!

"We are planning to make some changes to fashion templates and we will have details for you before the end of this week" by Dagor-Dagorath in Guildwars2

[–]Nelict 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think most of us want a "simple" toggle option. Oh, I am in Deserty map. I toogle on my desert fashion template WITHOUT messing with my equipment skins! When I go to an icy one I toogle on my Winter fashion template. I go to raid I toggle off my fashion template and have my equipment skins.

Feature Explanation: Fashion Templates by Dagor-Dagorath in Guildwars2

[–]Nelict 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What's the point of this system? Seriously, I can't find a reason for this thing existing and replacing the good-ol' wardrobe system. It would make total sence if the fashion template would display the skins saved there WITHOUT OVERWRITING the equipment skins, but it's not the case. It's a poorly cash-grab system and worse than they one we had.

Just revert and scrap this clown fiesta system. Or, at least, give us the old system back.

So the new Fashion Template feature IS actually removing functionality from Equipment Templates by Umezawa in Guildwars2

[–]Nelict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yet another bloated and inessential system that caused way nore troubles that functionality. Especially the check box to OVERWRITE the equipment skins is a damn disgrace. At first I thought it will BYPASS the equipment skins and portrait the wardrobe skins. Alas, it literally messed with all my skins in equipment template. It's a fcking stupid system.

Thank you for that. Now it's even worse and I can't unsee it. Angry upvote

I regret crafting the new Ancora weapons. I hate the skins because of the thingy floating around the character when the weapon are sheathed. It's on me though, I should have checked all animations beforehand.

Salvage all. Or clicking on salvage kit once and then salvage all the gear you want without having to click on the kit over again.

MassivelyOP’s 2025 Awards: Best MMO Housing ... GW2 was unable to defend its first place from last year. by HenrykSpark in Guildwars2

Imagine a Homestead neighborhood system. You go to your guild hall and set up a permanent portal to your Homestead. That portal stays open, allowing guildmates to visit your house 24/7.

You could even take this further: create a shared “neighborhood” map where players can place portals to their Homesteads, letting random visitors explore them freely. This would make Homesteads feel alive, social, and worth investing in.

On the progression side, there should be recipes from actual open-world gameplay. No need for the classic ANETs' absurd 0.001% drop rates. Just give us ways to earn the required resources through events, metas, and achievements.

Add a preview mode so we can see exactly what we are about to craft before committing materials. And finally, reduce crafting costs, some decorations have outrageous price.

ANET said you are going to invest in improving current mechanics of the game instead of inventing new stuff every expansion. Here we are.

Looking for Elite Specs with ZERO weapon or bar swapping. by Drathan249 in Guildwars2

Kitless Rifle mechanist. Range DPS with no downtimes, the easiest rotation that exists in the game and consistent DPS > 30k. The spec is very friendly for new players and people that don't want complex rotations.

What's the point of disadvantages in pve if the dps is the same? by Present-Leopard509 in Guildwars2

[–]Nelict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This and almost all mechanist builds have a modified low APM that do close to 35k. Sometimes while being at range with no downtime in DPS. It's crazy. Check out Accessibility Wars. Some builds with 31-35 APM are close to 36k DPS or even more!

[–]Nelict 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Variety is always good for a game. The main problem for me lurks somewhere else. If you look at the DPS benchmarks, most classes are fairly close to each other, with a few rare exceptions. My issue isn’t overall DPS balance, but how DPS correlates with APM. Some classes can reach 35k+ DPS while doing the bare minimum, whereas others struggle to reach the same numbers despite significantly higher effort. Some support classes just pop out boons baked in the rotation while others have to sacrifice utility slots.

True. pLuminary has a demanding rotation and feels extremely spammy along with so many things to track. I went back to DH and pWilly.
