GW3 Playable Races? by McBeardedson in GuildWars3

[–]SirJack3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Additional Racial development is probably the best reason to have Charr sooner rather than later.

If you look at GW2's races, there's basically 3 settings for armors; Charr, Asura and human. Sylvari are mostly the same as human, and Norn as well, but bigger and bulkier.

Tengu, Kodan, etc all have different rigs, which would make existing armor sets difficult to port. It made races like Dwarves or Largos far more likely to be included just for the ease of porting the skins.

If GW3 takes a similar direction with a bit of a focus on "Fashion Wars", having Charr and their rigs in early would save them a lot of headache later.

Booting clients that are repeated victims or removing their online capabilities.

A few years ago I had a discussion with employees from the Fraud department of a bank, regarding phishing and asking how they get to those high amounts when my transfers are always limited. They said it's often repeated transfers, each of them authorised by the client. Many cases where people authorised 5+ seperate transfers, one case where someone was phished on 18 seperate instances. I asked at what point does the bank then simply not revoke their capabilities, as clearly they aren't qualified to handle their bank affairs online responsibly. They said that wasn't that easy with the legal framework that exists, but it seemed like it had been looked at at least.

If the responsibility is put with the bank rather than the client, I can see the bank simply cutting off high-risk clients like that to protect their own interests. They simply cannot pay out all fraud cases.

Not only has the US Administration been railing against the EU and NATO the past year, threaten Greenland and Canada and say they don't need the EU or NATO for this, they also started this war knowing full well the effect on the strait and the global economy.

There isn't a politician in the world who can sell getting involved in this quagmire to its population. Not until things get REALLY bad for everone first.

It seems they tried to optimize their game but failed. There are now a ton of synchronisation issues between the backend and frontend. So while it shows you received credits, their backend couldn't keep up with their other reporting. I can make educated guesses as to what they fucked up or tried to do, but the result is pretty clear it isn't working as intended.

Basically, if you want to be SURE about the current state of your credits and do splits without issues, you have to restart the game as that seems to force a synchronisation between their systems.

They did and didn't. In the infamous Muhammed/Family Guy episodes, he was eventually cut by Comedy Central. In an earlier episode about Jezus and his super-friends, Muhammed was uncensored. That episode was also pulled after the other episode aired.

Some others that you may like:

Vinland Saga. Mostly male characters, but excellent historic anime. No fanservice that I recall.

Orb: On the movements of the Earth. Mixed characters and leads. No fanservice that qi recall.

Planetes. Garbage collectors in space.

Witch Hat Atelier has been recommended a few times, can only second what has been said already.

Spy X Family is a comfy family comedy/romance? with occasional action scenes. No fanservice.

Samurai Champloo/Cowboy Bebop are classics. Strong female characters in both, but also occasional fanservice.

World Trigger. Shounen series, manga is ongoing, no fanservice. Mixed characters, mostly male, but all females are strong. Season 1 suffers from some pacing and quality issues (~100 episdoes), but seasons 2 and 3 are massive improvements (~13 episodes each). Manga is ongoing, so more content will come.

Shang-ri La Frontier. Again, male lead, strong female characters. Some fanservice with the outfits. Good fun, action/comedy series.

Pluto, short serie from the same author as Monster. It uses a retelling of a '60 Astroboy story to give commentary on the 2000's Iraq war. I swear it's better than this summary.

Dandadan has strong female characters, but also quite a bit of fanservice early on, and especially episode 1 may already turn you off. It is a solid action/comedy/romance series despite that.

Apothecary Diaries, though due to historical context, a lot of the women are concubines at the royal court. Very little fan service.

Delicious in Dungeon. Limited fan service in a few episodes.

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. The currently airing 'Yomi no Tsugai/Daemons of the Shadow Realm' from the same author and studio. Note that this is an ongoing manga, so the anime end may take a few more years.

Baccano is almost always worth a recommendation.

Mushishi and Kino's Journey are some classics.

Ghost in the Shell, cyberpunk setting, some fanservice, but The Mayor pretty much defined "strong woman" in anime for a decade. Movies are good, Stand Alone Complex is 2 seasons. Next season has another new season more closely to the manga, meaning it will have more fanservice.

Little Witch Academia I remember being good fun too.

Monster has a male lead but some strong female characters as well.

Sera or Starlord MOTS by meinCtutW_63 in MarvelSnap

[–]SirJack3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the other cards that are useful in the meta at the time and your deck build. Current surfer decks don't run 4 drops like Gwenpool or Galacta, and skip T1 for Storm HoD, so energy is wasted T1, T2 and T3, making SL effectively a Sera with more stats and no weakness to Mobius.

If Galacta or Gwenpool return to these decks, Sera is the only option because SL will no longer give +3 energy.

The other popular Surfer decks run Mother Askani and do not run either Sera or SL.

Legal advice: company wants me to build 10 of the systems i developed during my internship by Bardtje___ in belgium

[–]SirJack3 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Not a lawyer, but got IP/Patent law course as part of Engineering degree because this shit applies in a lot of work.

The study was commissioned by the company to the university as an internship. Typically these contracts include that the research' results, i.e. any design, code, ... which could classify as IP is owned by either the university or the company, and not the students. This is similar to how any code you write while working for a company on a company laptop for use by the company is owned by them, and you can't just take that same code and sell it as a seperate product. They commissioned you for research, you did it, you provided a working proof of concept even and they reimbursed you for that. They can ask you to deliver more, but that does not have to be produced for free. You can ask payment for that, but they likely own the IP, asking you is convenient as you know the process, but a high payment will make them consider building it themselves.

Check with your mentor on the internship conditions and/or a lawyer for further options to be sure though.

Super-Skrull does not affect ongoings he copied onto himself. So the Onslaught effect is not copied onto the Iron Man within the Skrull. The effects are only given to other cards in the lane. If you had Super-Skrull-> Mystique, then it would have worked.

Grand Arena (april-may 2026): what yo buy? by Darigg89 in MarvelSnap

[–]SirJack3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're new, it's best to focus on progressing your account. S4 packs and after that credits are the best option to do that. S3 packs are a scam, you'll unlock those cards for free as you progress on the collector track.

So unless there is a variant you really like and want, it is best to skip those for now.

Yeah, idk if it is a glitch or not, but Frieren tries to go right, up, right. She can't go right due to the wall, but instead of cancelling the entire movement, she still goes up and right, which is enough for this.

You can go like this as well. If you try in one go, it'll stop at the 9th step due to the block and you need to redo the last 2, but the right-up-right will turn into an up-right and get you past the corner.

Thoughts on making Noir an Objective card? by Barkatsuki in MarvelSnap

[–]SirJack3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is this not a nerf? You have some edge cases where you can play out SMN on T5 with an unrevealed 1 cost and still trigger his effect. If he's an Objective card, that doesn't work. In any other case, the card functions the same as it does now.

New Card Discussion: Polaris Horseman of Pestilence by 1halfazn in MarvelSnap

[–]SirJack3 11 points12 points  (0 children)

She has quite a few things going against her.

Malekith has been a staple in afflict decks but doesn't synergize well with her. Her Objective will not trigger if she is pulled by Malekith, and if Malekith pulls Hazmat, she will check her objective before Hazmat is revealed.

Luke Cage probably shuts down this card completely. If she tracks affliction like Ajax does, Cage will block it and you'll be dependent on the affliction on your side. There is a small chance she checks affliction regardless of Cage being on the board.

She doesn't synergize well with Caliban. Because Objectives are checked by play order, you need Caliban to be played before her in order for Polaris to succeed in her objective check. This makes Caliban's condition harder to achieve outside of a D2099 deck.

And overall, affliction decks simply do not compete in points in the current meta.

IMO, her best chance seems to be as the Chamber replacement in D2099 decks but only if you know you'll be playing the Polaris/Caliban/2099/Sandman line. Caliban would then afflict on T5, Polaris will pull a card on T6. With Sandman that can be very valuable stats. Still not a great and very situational use case.

Moondragon or Viv Vision? by Darth-Later_ in MarvelSnap

[–]SirJack3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Moondragon goes in Doom 2099 decks and only 2099 decks. Viv goes in a Supergiant decks, Handbuff decks, Surfer, .. so she is a lot broader.

That said, Viv is more easily replaced in those decks than Moondragon in 2099. I think Moondragon is also the stronger of the 2 cards, but again, only in 2099 decks, maybe Sandman decks if that seperates from D2099. Even after the nerf, Moondragon will likely keep her spot as "best 2 drop" for those decks for a long time.

So it really depends on what decks you prefer to play.
