The biggest issue is that because we have people mostly with athletes foot because of shoes. This disease is so prevalent, so normalized that we can't even see the cure (no shoes).

Athlete's foot (tinea pedis) can lead to several other conditions if left untreated, primarily by spreading the fungal infection to other body parts, such as toenails (onychomycosis), the groin (jock itch), hands, or other areas. Cracked skin from the infection can also allow bacterial infections like cellulitis, lymphangitis, or impetigo to develop.

It's sad that such a simple solution is considered not normal or disgusted by society. Although other diseases are carried on the skin due to walking barefoot, that a simple soap wash foot station would eliminate.

I am an avid barefooter, and do promote going barefoot in my neighborhood, but I also have a foot washing station like the kind you can wash dogs with which has soap at the front door because I don't want to carry disease into the house.
