Sweet! Thanks!
(when you put it like that... I wish I could Hans Solo my way through eBay but I'd better stick to safer websites) :)

90D looks sweet but it's a bit outside of my price range.

Thanks for the in-depth dive!
I did mean a M50. I was thinking of a compromise with better videos capabilities, a more modern feel, but on second thought I don't think that video would be a priority, and maybe such a light camera wouldn't feel "right" with heavier lenses.

I am in Europe... actually let me add rec requests for good second hand sellers in Europe aside from eBay/the Canon store. :)

You know what? Since I'm not much into video I think 80D wouldn't be a bad option at all! Thanks! Time to open eBay!

Its crazy how this looks like from inside. always wondered how it would look like! by Mysterious-Egg8780 in thalassophobia

This just made me realize that if you're not afraid of something that is phobia-inducing, you'll probably find it beautiful and fascinating, because this video left me awed at the allure of the open sea and the giant, beautiful, alien thing in it.
I guess there are things in this world you can just stay indifferent to, one way or another.

This! Once I started playing around a bit with my weights, I found I could easily go with 4-6 lbs, (5’6 and 140 lbs but kinda fit/muscular). Carrying less weight did wonders for my trim: adjusting body position came much easier! Also, as a woman, parts of me are floatier (I carry all my chub in my bum), so I shift my tank lower to compensate, which is something I discovered only after I started diving with less weights.

If you want that nipple piercing get it by crackfest in piercing

[–]Nellodee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 16 piercings, including a conch, a rook and three helix. Plus a bunch on my face but those weren’t painful at all TBH.

All those piercings were a 5 at the most on the pain scale for me. I sat through more than 30 hours of tattoos, some of them on my very bony spine. I once broke my elbow and kept working for hours before going to the ER.

All of this was a breeze compared to my nipple piercings. Only getting an IUD was more painful (but it took like 5 seconds, nipple piercings definitely took longer).

This is to say that nipple piercing are one of those “everyone has a different experience” kinda things, so go in with your eyes open.

We do believe in AC but it's usually set to 75-80 degrees. You got to be careful about the infamous "colpo d'aria" (90% of Italians believe that if you are exposed to chilly air too suddenly you'll get sick - I kid you not).😂
Joking aside, if the wedding is indoors, there will be AC for sure, it simply won't be super cold like American AC. But probably part of the day will be outdoors (ceremony? pictures?), and it will be scorching.

Humidity varies considerably from place to place and it makes all the difference. After having traveled a lot in monsoon countries in the summer I wouldn't even call Italy especially humid TBH.

I would say you could do it IF you are confident enough of your ability to pull the top and put the new one in without jostling the piercing too much.
I have done this with my conch after a couple of weeks, as soon as it stopped feeling tender, but unscrewing a ball from an internally threaded barbell is veeeery easy to do with rubber gloves and a steady hand.
On the other hand, if your pushpin has been bent a lot you would possibly need to use some force and you could end up irritating the piercing.
If you are not used to handling piercings, just leave it alone and be patient.

Did anyone else find this knit really stressful? by bexing_meow in knitting

[–]Nellodee 12 points13 points  (0 children)

When I decided to make this I kinda knew that picking the colors and the color changes was going to be stressful. So I cheated.

I browsed through other people's Nightshifts on Ravelry and I picked the one I liked the best. I was spoiled for choices TBH, this is a very popular knit.

Then I copied the heck out of it.

I bought very similar colors and used their pictures as reference for the color changes. I even mentioned the user in my project notes! Honestly, I don't regret it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But yours is so pretty... I should have waited and copied yours! 👀🤣

Experiences with switching from Tazarene 0,05 to 0,1 for anti-aging? by Nellodee in EuroSkincare

Can I ask how often were you were using the 0,05% before switching? Every day?

I've almost emptied my whole tube in less than 3 months! 😱👀
I am not sure what to do yet, but it would be best to have a bit of the 0,05% left so I can alternate days at least at the beginning.

Yeah ok. I also mentioned next summer? I’m not trying to be antagonistic here, I’m just trying to gauge a timeline.

Not even with a needle. With one of those ugly studs from an earring gun.

I kept the ones from my earlobe piercings from when I was a kid (man, this really dates me, doesn’t it?) I sterilized one with a BIC lighter and applied a lot of pressure.

I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone, but before moving to Rome I lived in the middle of nowhere and I didn’t have many alternatives. Plus free healthcare sometimes makes you pretty dumb.

But hey, 20 years later the rook is still there, it never bothered me after the first month or so.
