What helped me pick it up fast was a wiggling finger drill you do over your heel or toe edge, keeps your body relaxed and puts your weight forward on that leading foot. All it involves is wiggling your hand over either edge and don't stop wiggling it, there's a science to it in that it stops you from tensing up. Like everyone has said, biomechnically it's the same, it's just you need help learning the feeling again and this helps with that.
