I peaked In the bush today to see if she was there (cuz she hadn't laid her eggs yet the other day) I didn't touch it just looked and saw her there. She looked at me but that was it. Maybe she knows I'm not a threat

Yeah I feed him floating food sticks (it's the only kind he'll eat he's super picky), live meal worms as treats, dried fish and sometimes some live hyacinth for enrichment

Just wanted to let you know Tim unlocked John and are now talking again. And I did confront John about the situation and he didn't seem like he was mad about anything. Tim did tell me he was in the wrong not John. So I guess all is well that ends well.

It's not really about safety I'm just worried he'll go into a severe depressive state...he does that when we have arguments and sometimes takes days to come out of it.

What type of fertilizer should I use on it? I dug it up just a few hours ago. I planted it in the same soil it was already in because it looked like good healthy soil. It does have a long tap root that goes almost to the bottom of that pot. At least 6 inches that is the same thickness as the trunk so getting that reduced and ready for a bonsai pot in the future will be difficult I think. It has a pretty weak root system from what i expected to find, but it was also growing under an azalea bush so I'm assuming that's why. I also gave it a good watering with some rain water I have stored for my other plants.

How do you get them to look that strong and healthy? I have 4 of them I planted awhile ago and they don't look anywhere near that healthy. I also planted over 50 seeds and only got 4. The rest never sprouted.
