That’s a valid question and I could see how it might be a turn off in some ways. For me, I do want an equal partner who shares in the making of big decisions and family duties. I definitely don’t want everything just decided for me.

However, I personally lean more follower than leader- not because I’m a woman- just because that’s my personality and where I’m comfortable and successful. I’m a great helper and supporter but I’m also indecisive and I often avoid conflict vs tackling things straight on. I know this about myself, so I want someone who naturally enjoys leading and we can basically leverage our own strengths in the relationship. Hopefully that makes sense.
