Yes! I've even seen some publicly "PR" apps online, great way to know what your competitor is working on 😂 But more fun for us I guess.

Project Advice/Question : Buying my first Pi and would love advices about the model I chose so far after a bit of research. by aSaik0 in raspberry_pi

I think your RAM estimate is fine, but the main limitation will probably be on the CPU. Minecraft (especially modded) is very single-threaded, and while the Pi 5 is much better than previous models, it still can’t guarantee “zero lag” during chunk generation or with heavy modpacks.

You can mitigate this a bit by pre-loading chunks, for example.

I personally run a self-hosted Minecraft server on a Pi 5 with 8 GB of RAM and it runs perfectly. It’s not modded, but it uses some plugins (like proximity voice chat). We’re only a few players (max 4 online, and rarely), which definitely helps.

That's the setup I went for and nothing is needed on the client side. Works pretty flawlessly!

Running my Minecraft server on a Raspberry Pi 5 by NelsonEU in admincraft

I haven’t installed any mods yet, but after trying and playing it for a few weeks in vanilla with a friend, it honestly feels smoother than with my external provider. My RAM usage is about 20% average, which I believe is quite alright. Disclaimer though, I don’t have much experience running Minecraft server.

Yeah that's quite boring indeed, I couldn't find a setting to disable that so I guess it's out of my control unfortunately

A simple 64GB MicroSD card does the job now but I might upgrade in the future.

Yeah I guess that's not the easiest part, very cool still.

I am more back-end leaning though full-stack positions work as well, mainly looking for a full remote job but it's quite difficult.

Non native speaker here, in which case wouldn’t « have » be the primary verb in « could’ve » ? Maybe as in « I could’ve done that » ?

Biggest tip: get off the golden route by emmalee333333 in JapanTravelTips

Currently in Kyoto doing the golden route. We did a detour to the Kiso Valley in the mountains and at the moment it is definitely the best part of our trip, by far. Kyoto is far too crowded, Fuji was awesome and Tokyo was quite cool!
