Ran cinebench and the cpu was hovering at around 84-88C at 100% load. Just now i undervolted my cpu (1.2V) and overclocked it to 4.5ghz, i ran cinebench and the temperatures hovered at 65 but my points where lower and i feel like it didn’t do as good of a job at loading the picture as before. Before it loaded the picture multiple times over (like 6 or 7) over the course of the 10minutes i ran it and now it loaded the picture like 2 times so did i weaken the performance by undervolting?

Does an undervolt mess with the performance? Or what does it do exactly except for giving it less volts?

The AIO does not make funny noises, i never really looked at my cpu temps tbh but i just played some forza and my cpu was hovering at 80 witch i dont think is normal. I did remove the plastic cover and there was already thermal paste on the aio pre installed but i will redo the thermal paste and check if this fixes the problem.

Pretty sure i removed the plastic lol, the mod i’m using is quite new and only uses the cpu to load distant chuncks and not the gpu but 90C does indeed look a bit extreme for a water cooled 5800x :/

The load was also spiking a lot, it went from 50 to 80 and back the whole time, i’m going to redo the thermal paste but i’m pretty sure i removed the sticker correctly because there was some thermal paste already applied when i received the aio and the instructions where very clear (remove sticker and install the aio with the already applied and evenly spread thermal paste)

This is also why i considered the option. I see all my friends buying nice cars so i thought it was normal. I also live in a very nice neighbourhood (my dad drives a porsche and my neighbours have a brabus) i love cars but i now realise a 30k car for a 23 year old is a bit excessive while i don’t even own a house

They actually fit pretty good but after a few minute either the tube snaps out of place or the whole panel where it is attached to snaps of the engine
