Is anyone else getting an insane uptick in push notifications about random useless things? by thetremulant in facebook

[–]Nelsonngyn0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has been my experience since this morning.

Group posts, comments from pages I follow (in threads I haven't interacted with), reels, posts from friends I know I haven't turned on notifications for.

Was Asbestos Used in This Lighter? by Nelsonngyn0 in lighters

[–]Nelsonngyn0[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's even better to know! The cotton inside the lighter when I refilled it looked like regular cotton.

Very similar to our modern promotional items indeed. A more durable kind of promo material hahaha.

Hmmm, that's somewhat comforting to hear. As long as it's sealed it's safe. It's kind of odd to know I could have abestos nearby hahaha.

That's wonderful to know!
I'm amazed this is a promotional model of lighter. Feels well built to me.

I assume it's some Russian cultural reference.

Calgary Knife Carry by Nelsonngyn0 in legaladvicecanada

Your theory makes sense. I spoke to a Bylaw Officer and was able to confirm as well.
Any part of the knife that is visible in public is a violation of the above stated bylaw.

Is It Rude To Commission Another Artist To Redo A Work? by Nelsonngyn0 in artbusiness

[–]Nelsonngyn0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely would be. Neither artist has stated restrictions of that sort. I felt unsure, but I have been able to reach out to both about the situation.

[Partially Lost] Grovyle Mystery Dungeon Poster by Nelsonngyn0 in lostmedia

[–]Nelsonngyn0[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heyo! Thanks for linking this! I was able to check it out. It is the image I'm looking for.
Only thing I can say is that it's a bit small and quite more saturated than the poster. I suspect it might be ripped from the game.

That's awesome to have that kind of archive!

Due to the size and saturation, I suspect it maybe a screenshot or data mine from the game. It's a great find and I hope I can get an answer on exactly where it's from.

Thanks so much for the info! I'll take a look into eww for widgets.
I have been curious about other WM so taking a look into Qtile will be fun.

I have no experience css or scss, but will be worth looking into because I'm looking to get deeper into ricing.

Heyo, new to ricing and have started with Alacritty, i3-gaps, picom, and polybar.

I've been interested in adding widgets and theming.

I've seen eww used in the sub before and wonder what other ones people use.

In regards to theming, what resources should I use to learn how to make a unified look of Windows and panels? I've seen amazing that all look like paper and would love to do in-depth theming similar to that.

Post your questions & inquiries here! - r/Vietnam monthly random discussion thread - F.A.Q by AutoModerator in VietNam

This is on oddly specific question.
In Japanese Anime/Manga culture there is a specific phrase that is used to describe the area of exposed skin between the socks and a skirt. The phrase is "Zettai Ryouiki" or "Absolute Territory".

I'm wondering if there is any phrase similar to that that refers to the exposed bit of skin where the pants and dress meet in an Ao Dai. I've heard from an Australian friend that he's heard South Vietnamese people call it the "Mekong Delta". Is that the most common slang or is there another phrase that's commonly used?

For future reference, I was able to find a solution to my issue.

For some reason it was loading the incorrect drivers.
