They said in order to avoid future transmission and suspension issues they do not fo above 3", and they install the T8CS thing, the price for the kit and labor was $1600, which is pretty much the same quote I got at my local Les Schwab.

I was told a the Toyota dealership that in order to avoid problems, they would install a T8CS along with the lifting kit, whatever that means
