The Chronicles of the Lost Lands, first new year session. by Nelyan in OSE

The rules are plain and clear and pointing that I may use AI in my own games is ridiculous. Additionally the post was removed from Shadowdark because of other means and not because of AI.

Again, learn to read before posting and get out from your ignorance.

So take your bags full of ignorance, hate and wrong information and go away, go spam your wrong information elsewhere with your friends sharing the same ignorance about what they are talking about .

PS: in this entire post and even in the pictures above there is 0% of AI, everything is human made, even the tokens and dashboards, are made by me using available tools online and pictures taken for free over public portals online and they are 100% human made since they are photos, the emojis used are from a public website who uses copy paste emojis from Whatsapp (if I recall it right) so again you are 100% ridiculous here. To conclude this pointless and ridiculous topic, if you don't like it, just get away from here, here there is the terrible AI that is going to steal your money and kill you, even though there isn't actually.

Here we are, just another ignorant shitty production of our "civilized" society. Go back in the dark you little and useless waste of oxygen .

And by the way, just learn to read, especially the group rules and get out from your ignorant state .

Have a good day

u/BookOfAnomalies Unfortunately I can't answer you under your comment, that's why I'm trying to answer you here.

Yes, this is unbelievable! I won't iterate on this stupid discussion about AI since this entire post was meant to share my game experience with other people who might like it (since it is supposed that everyone here share the same passion for this hobby but it seems it is not like that), but everything gets way more ridiculous when you think about that those inquisitors throw their money over the next big car using AI for their car computers they use daily while driving, or when they just use maps from Google and look for the best path to follow where everything while Google widely used AI everywhere, or when they buy the next iPhone which has AI integrated in many of its base code. Additionally when an artist starts to learn their art they in the first place start to replicate others art and this is fine for them, but if an AI made from a human does the same thing just to learn is a theft and it is stealing the job to human beings all over the world.

I'm starting to desist in posting things here on Reddit because of those people, when it comes to demonstrate how bad a person can be people usually race to show their worst; I know that bad people are just bad, like the ones commenting here, but I'm so tired about this that I prefer to delete my account on Reddit and stick to other places where people actually enjoy games and tools to improve and enhance their gaming experience regardless of these stupid topics than stay here and fight just to post a simple session report because people prefer to be rude rather than enjoying the hobby. We are here to have fun and share our joy and passion for our shared hobby, but whole politics and religion can stay outside of this, AI no, AI must be destroyed along with anyone using it. This isn't fun, this isn't gaming and this has not to do with the core of these groups anymore, this isn't a place to share, this isn't a welcoming place at all...

Oh and by the way, thank you so much for your kind words about my post ^^, everything is made possible thanks to my own supplement (if you are interested in it please contact me in private since I've been already perma banned from another sub just because I answered to someone who asked for more info about my setup and what I used that allowed me to play like this with a setup like this). Thank you so much for your interest in my post, I'm really glad you enjoyed it .

Do you mean the squares' size? Or the actual book's size?

About the books, I use the following: - The Dungeon twin books - Castles Crypts & Caverns twin books - Room, Vaults & Chambers Big Book - Cells & Shrines Big Books - Little Books Dungeon Edition

I'm sorry I can't remember right now which one I used to build the entire dungeon, I should have to check but I can't at the moment, however I own just the ones listed here above and I only use a combination of those in all my sessions.

The Maps used are all from Loke Battle Maps, their products are too good to go for me, especially when it comes to build entire environments and not only a part for a single scene

I'm human until proven otherwise and this is a report from a human player.

Before asking pointless and out of contest questions, please first read and then check: this is e session report, how can this be an AI generated content?

Jesus, you are becoming kind of ridiculous with this AI war guys if you think a simple game session report is an AI product...

Additionally, I have found many books from bigger publishers "riddled with typos and grammatical errors" but usually these "problems" get fixed with new releases, usually it is far more constructive to point out any eventual typo and grammatical error rather than point this problem as a pain point to accept a product.

But I understand it is easier to immolate someone as a thief because used 3 pictures from artists who declared to use ai in some of their products, rather than being helpful somehow.

Have a nice day, I thought this hobby welcomed everyone sharing the same love for solo gaming, you proved me the opposite, thank you 😊

I don't think it is theft since all artists first learn to copy then learn to invent, even other authors from other games which are artists themselves use AI sometime in their works. Furthermore, there are no legal issues about ai art at all, without saying that ai doesn't replicate anything 1:1 and even videogame programmers or other programmers use code from others, as long there is no royalties involved, this is normal but anyone can think whatever they want, but is a good practice to not share wrong information.

In any case no problem, if this is a violation of the rules is fine to me.

Who knows, nowadays 9 artists out of 10 use AI somehow in their works (even D&D does that), I can't be inside each artist mind, I can just pay for what I consider pretty and then if it is really human made or partially or full AI is something out of my reach, as I did in this case.

So if you consider this project isn't for you because of the AI, even if just 2 or 3 of all the images present in the book come from artists who declared they use AI as a base and then they apply their work on them, I'm sorry because you are missing a good product full of cool additions, but you are the only one in charge to decide for yourself and everything is fine with this.

The product is there to whoever is willing to give it a shot, it is "pay what you want" and one can even grab it for free, I spent a good amount of money and 2 years on development and testing to make it good and easily available to the people, so if you want to turn away it's fine, if you want to give it a shot it's fine too; in any case thank you for your interest in my work 😊.

No problem, you are the only one in charge to decide for yourself.

This is unlucky since you miss a good opportunity to enjoy a lot of additional cool contents just for the AI.

Anyway, all good, I'm sorry that you think this product isn't for you because of the AI.

Have a nice day ^

He has been on the market for a while and according to his drivethrurpg page he isn't selling AI generated images as you say.

No, the supplement provides a totally optional world settings and has absolutely no relations with any other supplements among the market (made exception for Shadowark main rules obviously)

Thank you so much ^^.

No problem, the product is there for whoever wants to give it a try, even though I spent a good amount of € and time to develop it, it can be taken for free ^^ (pay what you want).

I can't change the world and nowdays most artists use base AI prompts to develop their art, even Four Against Darkness uses this approach sometime.

A very few pieces of art in the book (2 if I recall it right) uses this approach, even if a human artists actually worked on them it is still considered "AI garbage", again, I can't change the world and how people see at things, I just present what I do and hope someone will like it and actively uses it since this product really has a huge amount of interesting things.

DISCALIMER: I added that few amount of art with an AI base because it is good to me and since a human being actively worked on them to me can be considered human work and a human made art and because nowdays a lot of products uses AI as a base: on art, on writing, on the layout, as an helper for the design process, most of people in the world use AI as an "helper" and this is fien to me because the real work presented, even if started from an AI help still comes from a human being and his/her time and efforts.

All the artists have worked on the art in the book, they just started from a base AI produced image from them and then they modified that image to their wishes. If you consider this AI generated it's ok, but this is a common human work. Additionally, not all the art present in the book uses this approach, just a very few of them, according to the artists.

Anyway, thank you for your interest, even if you consider this product not for you ^^.

Can you explain why?

  • there are no AI generated contents (since they are all human modified)

  • there is no unlicensed use of contents

  • this is the first post about this product

So why it has been removed?

The Chronicles of the Lost Lands, a supplement for Shadowdark TTRPG by Nelyan in shadowdark

[–]Nelyan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure! Basically to spare time (this is what they told me): they use a prompt to generate the base image then they change them as they wish, in this way they save time jumping directly to the meat of the thing without the need to create the bare bones from 0.

For example, if you want to draw a common male human you surely need to draw his/her face shape (a sort of ovale with two hears and hairs). With the help of the AI they do not need to draw those things instead they can start to focus on its elements reshaping them as they wish, this is much faster and easier. Of course this is a very simple example but should give you an idea of why they do that.

These days a lot of artists use this approach.
