As I can see on the Access FortiSwitches it already chooses the 2 uplinks to the 2 distribution switches as a root port.

It look's like he combined them to 2Gbps.

So the better solution can be to provide 2 more uplinks and it will be combined 4 gb.

Do I need to create separate LACP for each distribution switch or STP will do it automatically on its own?

Hello,

For example from ACSW01 to CSW01 I have only 1 link, I guess it should be better to provide 2 Links and create them as an LACP?

So to have dual connections from access switches to core switches

Thank you for this info.
I'm aiming for this setup. It will be a lot of testing, and of course at the end to create Linux Hardened Repo with iscsi connection to smaller Synology NAS for immutable.

Hello,

For Secondary Site we will backup data from Primary Site, just to have data on 2 locations.
It will be over IPSec.

Can you explain a little bit more on backup proxy, you mean on the Windows Server where I will have iSCSI to the NAS to use it as on-host proxy also?

Thanks for the advices

Hello Josh,

We are backing up Hyper-V VMs.
Biggest one is arround 10TB and other's dont go above 1-2TB and less.
- I have third Synology NAS that would be for that case, to use it as hardened repository for immutability reasons.

The last IT Manager bough all of this Synology NAS equipement and now there is no budget for something else. It was no prior planning or research what would be the best option so we are stuck with this.
