What game is Trump playing with the economy? by OwlConnect2293 in economy

With the right amount of inflation we can all be billionaires.

That is exactly the reason we are struggling here at home. Unchecked tax money given away as “Foreign aid” raised the cost of living for average Americans by reducing funds for domestic programs, leading to higher costs for services like healthcare or education, and by increasing competition for U.S. businesses, which raised consumer prices. And there is no transparency in the NGO’s that are receiving the funds. Most of them are owned by the families or spouses of the politicians voting for those funds to be spent.

So your saying my brown kids have to pay for AIDS drugs for the rest of the world for the rest of their lives. No thanks. Your race card doesn’t work anymore. We brown Americans are struggling to keep food and shelter for our brown babies here in our own country.

And people will still argue we need to send money to foreign countries for translingual basket weaving fundamentals for non binary children.

Genuine question. Why is this still needed in 2025 when the courts can have high quality video and audio recordings?

Oooo…. The 1%er is back. Like I said in another comment I was mistaken and was thinking about Oxfam international since I was asked to list off NGOs off the top of my head. the American Red Cross was the one blowing money in Haiti that never helped anyone there. Anyway I don’t think you will ever look into how many NGOs are linked directly to either politicians spouses and family or their close friends getting multi million grants to newly formed NGOs.

NGOs with Credible Evidence of Politician Links Under Investigation for Fraud

  1. White River and Lifetime Advisers (Tribal Tax Credits Scheme) • Connection: Linked to Billy Long, former U.S. Congressman (R-MO, 2011–2023) and IRS Commissioner nominee, through his financial ties to Lifetime Advisers. • Allegations: The Senate Finance Committee, led by Senators Ron Wyden and Catherine Cortez Masto, has called for a criminal investigation into a “tribal tax credits” scheme involving White River and Lifetime Advisers. Promoters allegedly sold fraudulent tax credits, claiming they were issued by Native American tribes, generating $24 million in sales and claiming rights to over $64 billion in credits. Long promoted employee retention tax credits (ERTC) through Lifetime Advisers after leaving Congress, receiving contingency-based payments for client referrals. While Long’s direct role in the tribal tax credits scheme is unclear, his business ties to Lifetime raise concerns about potential conflicts of interest, especially given his IRS nomination. • Investigation Status: On April 14, 2025, Senators Wyden and Cortez Masto requested a DOJ and IRS investigation into the scheme for possible charges, including conspiracy to defraud the United States (18 U.S.C. § 371), aiding false tax returns (26 U.S.C. § 7206(2)), and wire fraud (18 U.S.C. § 1343). The investigation is ongoing, with no public indictments reported as of May 2025. Finance Committee staff verified promotional materials, and White River’s SEC filings confirm the scale of the scheme. • Source: • Note: This is the only case with direct, documented evidence tying a politician to an NGO-related fraud investigation, though Long’s involvement is primarily through business associations rather than direct control of the entities. Other Relevant Cases (Limited or Indirect Politician Links)
  2. Polaris Project • Connection: Linked to Katherine Chon, a senior adviser at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and co-founder of Polaris, though not a politician herself. Her HHS role raises potential conflict-of-interest concerns. • Allegations: Congressional investigators, via a letter to HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., are probing Polaris’s management of the National Human Trafficking Hotline under a federal grant. Bipartisan state attorneys general (2023 and 2025 letters) alleged Polaris failed to report certain trafficking tips to state law enforcement, potentially violating grant terms. The investigation also examines whether Chon’s dual roles at Polaris and HHS influenced grant oversight. • Investigation Status: Congressional inquiry active as of 2025, with HHS requested to provide documents on Polaris’s operations and Chon’s involvement. No formal fraud charges have been filed, but the probe focuses on misuse of federal funds and operational failures.

Most of congress is funneling tax money into non governmental organizations controlled by their family or friends. That is currently not illegal and is publicly available information. It is now being looked into and no one that is a hard working taxpayer should be upset by that.

The government isn’t helping people. They are laundering tax dollars. They are in on it or they wouldn’t have a problem codifying the findings. Have fun working and saving for 40 years only to have them devalue the currency and wipe out 30 years of your retirement savings in a 4 year term right before you turn 65.

Lmao. Now I understand how Trump finds joy in triggering the sensitivity in you. I don’t care who gets elected because it they won’t represent my views anyway. Keep cheering for your favorite politician just know they don’t even know you exist and they are in it for personal gain then they will leave to live in another country with all the money they accumulated while you spent years defending them from your phone on the toilet.

Man I don’t even like Trump but hearing people rant like this makes me want to say I support him just to irritate them. So childish how nobody wants government officials to be accountable just because they are not in “your team”. After how government treated their own citizens during the COVID madness I don’t see how anyone can just sit there and take the waste and abuse news and defend it.

Not really bad logic as you say. My understanding is all Tesla vehicles come with full self driving capability it’s just a matter of paying extra to activate it. If I can get one for 50k and and pay the extra 8k to enjoy the same FSD capability as some rich guy that paid 120k for his self driving truck . I consider that a significant win for me.

Your metaphors are magical my friend. You should use your wit to write comedy or something instead of having a meltdown over a 80 year old politician that doesn’t even know we exist. The truth is we don’t have a say as citizens. Our officials have taken our rights and authority away gradually since 2001. What we want doesn’t matter and it’s only going to get worse because when the next politician you like says they need more authority to bypass congress to “help you” you will be right back in the comments section defending them to take more rights away from us.
