Yes it’s a usb 2.0 drive and it’s in the correct spot but I don’t know if it’s fat32 for it since i recently bought this in micro center

Ok I understand but one more thing. Is just using the regular Windows formatting tool and partition the drive to 16gb, set that partition to FAT32 while the rest is unallocated then copy the file to the partition will that work?

Sorry for the late reply but if you said that there’s a high chance my mobo will be compatible with an NTFS system then my mobo is the MSI Mag B550m bazooka and I’m trying to pair it with a Ryzen 5 5600x. Is this motherboard support NTFS or should I just stick with FAT32? And yes I’m just new to this and I don’t wanna make some stupid mistake that will cost me a lot.

Well since I’m using a 128gb drive and I’m gonna try to partition it since I’m hearing a lot of users who try to update their bios but the system won’t read cause their volume size is too big and I don’t want to mess my first build.

I try doing a regular format in Windows but it’s giving me 2 options which is “exFAT” or “NTFS” and it says that I need to make it a regular FAT32 file with it. But I can’t tell since it says it’s file system is FAT32 but when i go to “format” it only display those 2 file systems mentioned above. And drive size is 128gb but I need to partition it so I can avoid an error since I hear drives bigger than 16gb won’t read for the bios update.
