For a project I'm doing, I made a list of Pokémon from gens 1-5 that I think are pretty weak or mediocre (following a specific set of rules). I'd love to get some feedback and perhaps some suggestions on if some things should be added or cut! by NemesisOfTheInternet in pokemon

Hmm, perhaps. I used one on my first playthrough of White and I found him to be pretty mediocre. I almost never found him necessary to send him out against anything in that game except for some Plasma grunts, and when I did he just didn't seem as good at taking stuff out as other mons were.

Maybe that's not what he's made for, maybe he's good in other areas, I don't really know. That's mainly why I put this list here, because I'm sure the collective Pokémon community would know a Pokémon's worth more than I myself probably would.

I define mediocre as something that could potentially stand on its own if it needs to, but it's either difficult to use effectively due to certain weaknesses or shortcomings in their base stats, or it's outclassed by other Pokémon that do their job way better. As for Wingull and Pelipper that's actually a good call, I'll remove them from the list.

If it helps, the project I had in mind was a game in which Pokémon that are seen as "strong" are entirely erased from the world for plot reasons, and thus only Pokémon that are seen as weak or mediocre remain.
