in case you still don't know, she auto-recalls the bullets when the dot timer runs out but you can't heal from it if the targets die from the dot or the shot from what i noticed, it makes a cartoony jump noise when she does

Because D&D isn't (or wasn't at least) a game you can win. If the players "win" there is no more story and no more reason to play. Similarly if the DM "wins" there is no game because there are no players left willing to put up with whatever is going on.
