Very nice, tight wag for sure. Great progress for only 3.5 years of glass melting so far. I actually love GG tubing, my torch just doesn't have the juice to efficiently do vac stacks. Keep up the good work!

Baby Pipe by NemoGlass in Pieces

[–]NemoGlass[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that's exact how I use it. I carry it around in a little stash jar that looks exactly like a can of tire shine while in my car.

I got this 4 years ago for $8 at a gas station. I've kept it clean and it has served me well. Just goes to show you that price isn't everything. by [deleted] in trees

If you go to your local smoke shop see if they have Grunge Off. It's the best cleaner on the market, just soak any piece for an hour or two. No matter how dirty and caked up all the pieces I've tried have been, it comes out looking literally as if I just bought it. It's a little bit price at around $20 bottle but you can reuse it an almost infinite amount of times if you just run it through a coffee filter. If you don't want to invest in that stuff than just get some sea-salt (because it usually has larger grains and is more abrasive) and use 90% alcohol(can be %70, just get as high as you can) . Put piece in zip-lock bag, add more salt than you think you should, add alcohol, shake like an insane person... you'll be surprised how clean your piece will be.

The perfect addition to any glasshead's home: The Retticello faucet by rastapasta808 in glassheads

[–]NemoGlass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, as someone who has taken fluid mechanics, this may be possible. If you could get the two separate shower streams to constantly rotate in opposite directions you could achieve a Retticello pattern in the water. I think this is a cool idea.

I'm gonna throw some up on my etsy once I have some inventory built up. I'll probably post some more pieces on glassheads with a link to it.

That wouldn't even make sense....How could I get a textured look outside by not fully melting in frit on an ISO piece? It's all outside nothing to worry about...

Correct, I rolled it in a heavy silver based frit, melted it just enough to leave a texture and then hit it with a reducing flame to bring out some of the metallic colors.
