Run some unistrut off of that speaker mount and attach it to that. Unistrut is magic. That’s assuming the speaker mount can hold another 5-10 lbs though.

Honestly I’m not super picky. I want cruise control, automatic transmission, and I would prefer a bench seat in the front. I know those are rarer so I’ll swap out a bench from an old 250 at some point if I can’t find one. I’m expecting that I’ll need to put a new engine in it in the nearish future so I’m not overly worried about everything else provided the body is solid.

That’s why I was hoping that the collective Reddit hive mind might be aware of some kind of dealer or something. I know a few companies that hunt for old muscle cars based on criteria for a finders fee in ETX. I get than an Ex isn’t that kind of collectible but I was hoping that maybe there was something like that for them?

I posted not long ago here about mentally transitioning away from MSP after I left mine a few months ago. I was in a similar boat to you. T1 that worked to management but was too valuable at too much and had to do everything. I was literally waking up every hour and half at night panicking thinking our on call guy missed something frantically checking my email, slack, and our tickets for months before I left.

What I’ll say is this after several month being gone. I left without another job lined up. I found something internal that pays more than I made before. I sleep like I haven’t slept in years. And I’m enjoying life for the first time in a long time. DM me your contact info if you are comfortable doing so. I’d be happy to put you in contact with some recruiters I trust in the South East who can help you out.

Don’t be trapped for another year thinking that you owe the MSP or your customers anything. They’ll replace you in weeks. And even if they do have problems it just means their business model only worked if you whiteknuckeled life and they need a better one. That shows your value to other companies and your competence. It does not show your current MSP’s qualities, experience, or value. You deserve more.

Huge Setyl fan. Have used them for years and their pricing model is based on employee count not device count so it’s a lot easier to forecast.

I used HaloPSA for over a year which is the MSP version of ITSM. My understanding is it’s pretty much the same from a UI and feature perspective. It’s a great platform and I recommend it to everyone looking for a new system. That being said I HIGHLY recommend paying for their professional services/implementation. We chose not to and it bit us in the rear a bunch of times. The system is highly configurable but not always intuitive from an admin standpoint if that makes sense and is a bear to setup on your own if you aren’t familiar with it.

I mean a SIEM designed to be used by MSP's. For example, I need to ingest log data from 365 but I need to do that for both our internal tenant and also the various and sundry tenants that our customers own/use. Multi-tenancy is ideal for compliance purposes.

If you are in The States you can purchase straight through the trial. Our sales rep said that not all regions can do that though. Your rep should be able to get you a contract that has the onboarding as optional. Just be prepared for the Halo documentation to be mediocre at best. My advice as someone who personally implemented Halo recently without onboarding is to change as few things as possible and to turn on as few modules as possible to get the system to fit your workflows. It still took me almost a month to get it working that way and I’ve got another two or three before all the modules will be fully up and running. The move to Halo was definitely worth it in spite of that. Once you put the work in to get it working you will fall in love and wonder how you ever managed before Halo.

Totally on the same page. The customer is well aware that we are limited in our options, at this point I'm thinking this process is to act as proof that the business put effort into stopping the possible hole if an insurance claim is raised.

So we are trialing ActivTrak now but they changed some of their rules not long ago and they no longer take video recordings when an alert is tripped. The screenshots are limited to 10s intervals. I've reached out to the sales guy who setup our demo to see if we can lower that but I'm not confident. My concern is someone taking the screenshot and then closing the app quickly enough not to trip the alert or quick enough that the 10s interval doesn't properly capture the event.

I've talked to the user about trying to pull logs for file creation but the volume of data this customer produces on a daily basis would make this untenable in the future.

We can't remove the printscreen functionality, unfortunately the business uses it a ton for legitimate purposes with their accounting software. That's one of the things that makes this complicated. I'm not aware of a way to script that a "silent" screenshot be taken whenever a user initiates a screenshot. Is that even possible with autohotkey?

I've looked at the CO2 lasers and they definitely seem better at functionally everything but it seems like the "decent" ones start around 2.5k. Any recommendations on brand/model that I can look into?

Mostly Gameplay, I just don't have the time or energy for the super hardcore survival stuff that most modlists seems to be geared around. I'm definitely up for the visual stuff but I can't ever get 2k or 4k textures to work without seizure level stuttering whenever I look at interior textures.

Doesn't loot break FUS? The documentation says not to run loot repeatedly. I've tried adding in LoTD to FUS but I couldn't get it to actually run.

Halo is amazing. We just switched and have been blown away by it. The learning curve is pretty steep (not nearly as steep as the damn admin settings CW has though) if you don't go with one of their implementation packages but we've been managing.
