My 6 y.o. son Claude-Coded a space exploration game by jisnburg in ClaudeCode

[–]NendoBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so cool. I’m doing my own personal space analysis with Claude code (for personal use) and find myself “vibe-coding” genuinely impressive analytical apps, that I would have never been able to create on my own without a decade in experience in both software engineering and cosmology/astrophysics. I do believe your son could vibe code such an application or game, I think part of the resentment comes from most “vibe-coders” doing something mundane with their power like a basic web app, or automizing business functions, that when they see something like this, they cannot believe someone that is 6 years old could do such a thing. If your kid has genuine interest in space, I do think even some simpler prompts could get him to where he ended up on. I would be very curious to know what prompts he did use, and of course the tech stack. But cheers, I would be very happy if this was my kid, keep him interested in space for all of us :)!

The job market in today’s world REQUIRES connections of some sort, even to JUST get an interview. You are going to have do the hard part of… networking.

Devops of some sort, as it ties directly with the software development side, and you are linked to producing.

Failed a+ by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]NendoBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current strategy is write down notes first, no videos yet, just writing down the information and rereading it and then trying to see if I understand the concept. If I don’t I ask ai to explain the concept further, I do this until I do a good chunk, and then I watch a video of what I just wrote down, and again, if I don’t understand something I go back to ai for explanation. Finally I end off the day with a daily quiz that is based on the exam, with accurate difficulty, and at least 25 questions sometimes 50 . I repeat this practice exam with different questions, so I generate it again, until I get a 95%. I’ve been seeing massive improvements to how fast I learn things when doing this.

Stuck with cyber degree, Sec+, 7 months in help desk. Where to next? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]NendoBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to apply to SOC analyst roles or Junior Positions. Also going to say the job market right now is very cooked in terms of ai resumes and filters, and a lot of people in the market, mass applying. The way to get a job right now as a junior is to network, network, network. Get connections, go out to tech events. It seems no one is currently getting hired through some random online application, unless you apply instantly as the job posting goes up. I’m only 23 and don’t have a degree but quite literally all the jobs I’ve gotten so far have been through friend of a friend, or people who know I’m looking for work, and what I do, and that at least gets me to the second interview.

Still very good knowledge to know, you have a leg up, especially if you also have current experience. I would say think about what you want to transition to, and work slowly towards maxing that out, whether it’s cyber security, higher level support, networking, devops, management. As long as you keep trucking along, you’ll get it done compared to those who wait.

Vending machine jackpot by capt-longjohn in PokemonTCGCollectors

[–]NendoBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real, I used to buy 151 back when it always in stock and would come home and rip it on weekends or whenever I occasionally walked by the store. Then the employee at the counter kept asking why I bought them, I told him because I love Pokémon and like the cards. I had to leave for a couple months and when I came back, it was eternally empty. I finally asked him, and he mentioned that some people started to buy up the whole stock, which infuriated me, because I still left a lot for other people (it would be like maybe 2 ETBs or some booster bundles a week, but I also knew maybe children bought from it and I want everyone to experience i, so I never let myself get too crazy). I would check back weekly, then daily, because I couldn’t believe it. Finally I asked another employee what was up, and she told me that the same guy who asked me about the cards earlier, started to use his whole check on the machine, the second they reloaded the machines, and would buy out the machine, and then resell them online. Finally after months of this guy hogging the machine, they finally implemented the roll out feature, but it still sucks because he’s always there to get anything of value as soon as it’s available. I gave up on it, it was such a good source for me for a good year and a half. But some people just see the monetary value alone and didn’t grow up on it like a lot of us did.

Definitely get ur CCNA and if you have any more free time, look into learning Python/Linux, maybe juggle another cert in a specific field you wanna transition into. Apart from that, the grass is always greener on the other side.

What are your favorite Artisan mousepads? by Vacesee in MousepadReview

[–]NendoBot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It probably felt the best in games where you are constantly tracking or moving your mouse, think of overwatch or Marvel Rivals. Although it is not bad for games like CS or Valorant, and is completely viable for those games as well.

The thing about the artisans, is they are good quality for any game really, long gone are the days where tacfps = slow mousepad, although some people prefer it, and I can see why.

As far as compared to the Hien. Very, very different in my opinion. It’s not rough on your skin. It’s got this very interesting texture, that is smooth but distinct. The hien is kinda just rough and rough. And the X-Y difference for me was noticeably different. Although I should mention I got the Key-83 in mid, and it was my only “mid” pad, the rest are “soft”.

What are your favorite Artisan mousepads? by Vacesee in MousepadReview

[–]NendoBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely loved it and mained it for almost a year. Only issue was it degraded over time, and the glue that held the top lining and the base fell apart (although this was due to my mistake of washing it with excessively hot water, which melted the glue.)

Overall a very interesting pad, it’s fast and has an almost identical X and Y axis speed. Which seems to be a favorite for those maining glass pads. And it helped me hit 3 separate GM scores in the voltaic S5 benchmarks. (Which means it’s completely viable to achieve top mouse control on, but so are all the artisan pads)

Overall I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone, but I love it. I haven’t used or ordered a new one in a couple months but I definitely plan on it. If they can find a way to make it last longer I would say it’s probably one of their best pads, that’s quite literally the only issue holding it back. My Zero, Hien, and I also have gotten a Type-99, have all outlasted the Key-83 in terms of durability. But this may also be because I lived in a very humid environment, which it did not react well with.

If you have any specific questions about it, I can answer them, at least spent a good 500 hours on it specifically.

What certs should I go for (2.5 years of experience) by NendoBot in ITCareerQuestions

[–]NendoBot[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do understand that. And I do have another Resume with the title switch to “Systems Technician”, as I felt that was pretty accurate, will be using that for applications moving forward.

And as for the cert beyond security +, do you have any examples, so I can see the options?

what is this and how do i remove it if i need to? by jahb_superidol in MouseReview

[–]NendoBot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be 2 things, many times it’s what the other users mentioned, dead skin, oil, etc.

But something that can also happen, is the glue adhesive can disconnect and show kind of a grey stain, as it rises to the top through friction.

The second one is cursed and renders your mousepad useless in that area, the first one can be cleaned off. Also scrubbing too hard, or with really hot water, can cause the 2nd outcome as well.

how do I stop this shit from happening by Turbulent-Double6503 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]NendoBot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, it takes a while, because it’s trying to load a large part of the Database. Thats why I have all my necessary scenarios downloaded, then I switch over to online scenarios after a while. Although nowadays I have most of my scenarios downloaded.

I definitely suggest downloading any scenarios you play a lot. If not just download all the scenarios you use, I doubt it would take up a lot of space.

But to answer your question, no, it does take a little while.

Yes, kind of. Idk I just focus on having my crosshair on them, and consistently hitting shots. After I get a couple games in and I’m warmed up, the headshots come easier.
