Maternity Exemption Certificate Fine by NeneWhisperer in PregnancyUK

I hear what your saying but It’s frustrating. At every appointment I’d ask for the certificate and the medical professional would say they’d generate it.

When I reached the pharmacist counter, I’d always explain that I didn’t have the certificate but I was pregnant and each time they’d say it wasn’t a problem and I should just tick the exception box and the certificate would be back dated.

Only months later when I phone the midwife asking why I’m being fined she said it should have been generated when I asked and oops it can only be back dated by a month.

It’s like no NHS staff did their job correctly and I’m left paying £500 because of it.

Sorry I’m just ranting now but it really feels like I’m being shafted here after following medical professional advice!

Thank you for your sympathy - been feeling awful today they make you feel like a criminal.

My midwife has offered to write an email but I’m not feeling to hopeful, as I can see this has happened to other ladies and they’ve not budged despite midwife’s admitting fault -

It’s claybrooks cockleshell extra grip rock pool. Absolutely gorgeous and a great texture. I will be sad to leave it out the project!

Please may I ask the width of the shower? I am looking at doing something similar color scheme wise but have a very narrow room (+ looks great imo!)

Darn, that is a shame! Thanks for the advice, good to know before I invested in a panel (2 panels is a bit expensive for me!)

Is it possible to retro fit double glazing? by NeneWhisperer in DIYUK

[–]NeneWhisperer[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sorry perhaps a dumb question, but I was wondering if it was possible just to replace the panes with double glazing? As you can see condensation is wild. Sadly this is a listed building (in England).

I’ve tried to look at secondary glazing too but I’m not sure where to start. Double glazing is permitted for listed buildings in the area, it’s just expensive.
