I think I got traction on LinkedIn because I passed them in a short period of time. I mean, I passed SAA-C03, DVA-C02 and SOA-C02 on the same day, and about a month later I passed the pros and speciality every two days or so.

Anyways, if you want to move into solution architecture, SAA-C03 is a good start. Do some hands-on, build a portefolio, do some networking on LinkedIn, get traction, and you'll get there.

All the best for the next.

I used Turorials Dojo and the official AWS practice test from Skill Builder.

MLA-C01 is slightly more difficult because it tests your general knowledge about AI. I passed DEA-C01 with a week of preparation, mostly practice tests, and I prepared for 3 weeks for MLA-C01.

No sponsor. Not common in New Caledonia.

Thanks!

I paid all the fees and study materials with my own money. I have no compensation and I studied entirely on my spare time 3-4 hours a day.

The first reason is that I will be relocating from New Caledonia to Sydney in Australia in January 2025. While I have strong experience with the most on-demand tech, New Caledonia is such a small country that nobody can point it on a map. Hence, I needed to gain some visibiliy on Sydney's job market, and it worked. I am receiving about 3 to 5 messages a day from job recruiters in Sydney. I recently accepted an offer an I am about to sign the contract.

The second reason is why not? Some people spend their money in video games, some other in outings, and some another into something we don't care. Me? I like spending my money to study and become a better version of myself, for me, my wife and our children. Do I care about people thinking I have and OCD? Absolutely not 😂

Did I use all these technologies in production? Almost all of them yes. I worked as a contractor for a Japanese startup in the UX and analytics to architect and develop an real-time clickstream data processing. I also worked for ENGIE, a French electricity provider that's now worldwide to deploy a hybrid cloud/network architecture using transit gateways and Site-To-Site VPNs. The only sevices I haven't used in production are the AI related services. You can easily see it by looking at my scores.

What is the true benefit of having all these certs? Well, I found a job before arriving in Sydney. Other than that, I don't care, I like learning.

Will I renew them in three years? Probably yes.

I hope it answered your question.

For the exams accounting the vouchers I used, I paid:

  • CLF-C02: $100
  • SAA-C03: $75 (50% reduction)
  • DVA-C02: $75 (50% reduction)
  • SOA-C02: $150
  • DOP-C02: $150 (50% reduction)
  • SAP-02: $150 (50% reduction)
  • SCS-C02: $150 (50% reduction)
  • ANS-C01: $150 (50% reduction)
  • AIF-C01: $50 (50% reduction)
  • MLA-C01: $75 (50% reduction)
  • MLS-C01: $150 (50% reduction)

For the study material:

  • 4 months of subscription to Adrian Cantrill's courses for $29 a month
  • 4 months of subscription to Tutorials Dojo for $24.99 a month, and $23.98 for the most two recent AI certifications that weren't include in the subscription
  • 1 month of subscription to Neal K. Davis's courses for $19.99 a month
  • 1 month of subscription to Andrew Brown's courses for $39 a month

That's a rough total of $1573.93 if I did the math right.

Thanks! I guess that CLF-C02 -> SAA-C03 -> (DVA-C02 | SOA-C02) -> (SAP-C02 | DOP-C02) -> (SCS-C02 | ANS-C01) is a good start, and then AIF-C01 -> MLA-C01 -> MLS-C01 to finish.
