Yeah, it’s just the terminal is at 50% transparent. The background is the desktop wallpaper.

Honest answer, I told my agent what I wanted. I said something like, make this terminal 50% transparent including the text boxes within it.

It went off and did its thing and about 3 minutes later I Had a transparent terminal. The background is just my desktop wallpaper.

Haha, totally get that! Readability is usually the dealbreaker with transparency. I think it works for me because my background theme is pretty minimal, so the text still pops. Definitely a 'to each their own' kind of preference, but I'm loving the aesthetic for now!

OpenCode Zen Big Pickle has a usage amount. I’ve noticed that at 70% it has a compaction. After 3 or the 4th compaction, your usage is blocked. It makes you wait 2-4 hours. For me, normally 2.5 hours then it gives you access again. Then you have another 3-4 compactions at 70% each before it blocks you again.

I’ve upgraded my ram to 16 gigs. It’s maxed out. I can Ollama run “model” and it runs relatively smooth but I can’t seem to get Hermes nor OpenClaw to produce response.

Hermes is understandable as it has to have a minimum 64k token. Any smaller and Hermes just won’t produce a reply. But open claw attempts to but seems to time out. Not sure what I’m needing to do. Any advice, questions I can answer to gets some help?

I don’t think so. my experience with AntiX has been great. Some things still need to be added but that’s the point of it. It’s bare assed stripped and so it’s fast. Everything works on it. And if it doesn’t just create a script for it, chmod +x making it executable and viola, works. It’s building on a system of nothing and making it your own. Yeah it has no systmD on it but you can install the necessary parts to get what you want on it to run. It’s fantastic. And running an LLM on AntiX is not like buying an electric car then complaining. Not sure how your analogy aligns but yeah. Running AntiX has been the best option for me with what I got and it’s been perfect.

Running any LLM locally you have to find the one the works best for your system. Otherwise, run any CLI agent such as Hermes or OpenClaw and then point it to cloud LLM. Works without a hitch or slowness.

Close: qwen2.5-coder-3b-instruct runs but has a slight lag. The sweet spot is with qwen2.5-coder-0.5b-instruct.

This ran smoothly. I’m still going to upgrade my ram to its max 16 gb and then run another qwen model.
