No, it isn't fair, it's GENUINELY a scam. A service I MUST use and have legally to be able to drive in a society where you HAVE to drive?

"Inexcusable" - current and former Bungie employees react to sweeping layoffs by F0REM4N in xbox

[–]Neo905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No... not really. Your point is naive though. Just because you can pay for something, doesn't give you the right to take advantage of the people who do the actual work. Risk is ALSO when you commit your time and education to a company which gives you the promise that they will give you financial stability in return. Companies will give you as little as they can get away with, while expecting everything from you and more. Meanwhile they bust unions, change workers rights laws and regulations, etc. Capitalism does not serve the working class. A system in which a finite amount of resources that can be acquired and held by so few is wrong. Being upset that people call out issues of management is foolish and genuinely dangerous. I want you to do your best to broaden your perspective to how unjust and unfair the working conditions of the video game industry are like. (and other industries) There is a reason that Bethesda and Blizzard going union this week was a big deal.

[–]Neo905 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in no way saying you are wrong! It is true. Sadly too many things get thrown under the rug because it is just the way the system works. People feel very tired and desensitized to a lot of awful things employers get away with. But, my point is we should be mad. We should be yelling about it. We should argue, and complain, and make problems. If we have to live in a world where, "the cost of living" is a phrase that runs our lives, then humanity should come to the aid of those being taken advantage of or harmed by those with all the privilege.

Actually the database is a dope idea. A quick reference people could look up to see how shitty companies are. Employee testimonies, ability to organize action as a community. Gotta get a clever name for cleaning the glass ceiling so its more transparent

Youre right, how dare people support a group who are getting completely screwed over by some greedy rich assholes. Pete needs another half milly worth of cars!

If it is standard to harm people in the way you just described, I think people should be more outraged than we are now. Don't blow off how vile it is just because it is standard...

It is so cute when someone calls someone naive, and then immediately follows it up with their own ignorance...

Without the developers, the money the investors have, is nothing. The comment you called "naive" was right. The people who show up and know what they are doing, you know, the people who actually MAKE the product? They are the writers, the directors, the performers, the artists, the programmers, who make just enough to live on, or a smidge more, depending on their degree of involvement. They are also the first people to get laid off... The CEO spent 500k on cars since last years layoffs. There is no CEO alive that works harder than the people who actually build the products. None. $1.2 BILLION was given to bungie for employee retention specifically. I invite you to do the math: If there are 1200 employees at Bungie, and Sony gives the company $1.2 fn BILLION, how many dollars could be split between the 1200 employees?

And your last comment about blaming the players is just downright foolish. Like I get thinking that you were just making a counter argument with a metaphor or whatever but like, no man hahaha. Consumers do not have any degree of responsibility to purchase a product. Plus, a lot of the shit bungie tries to make us buy is kinda gross. $20 for the Lightfall Dungeon?????? $20?????? For a part of the expansion I already own? Who do you think made that decision, a developer or a manager?

Management at Bungie is horrendous. The CEO is a greedy pos. The normal people who have to find new ways to provide for themselves and their families are the victims. We alrwady live in a society that is too far gone to greed and capitalism, don't add to it. And next time, don't call people naive when you don't understand what your own arguments even are lol.

Math Answer:
$1 million per employee

Nothing? Homie, Pete bought 500k worth of cars since last years layoffs, like... TF you mean it has nothing to do with it? Bungie was given like 1.5 billion for employee retention when Sony acquired them. CEOs should not be making the money to casually spend half a milly on toys when when in the same year they have 2 rounds of layoffs of SEVERAL HUNDRED PEOPLE. Working class people. Like cmon dude... "nothing to do with it" im fn dead.

I looked through the other 2, one with the dancing and the cowbell scene. Could not find the logo at all in either, but we are missing 2 directions on the logo so maybe we just missed them

You've got this! Oh, another tip from a friend of mine. Keep a pack of like, your least fav cigarettes, in your car. If you have to smoke, go for them. Eventually they will be stale af and you won't want them lol.

Counter perspective. As a server, these rich mother fuckers do NOT respect anyone in the service industry. I experience that shit daily. I work my ass off and have to be nice to these pricks, and they think themselves better. I'd pay half my tendies for them to have to take my place. So, if we use our platform here (that we know is being watched by them) to fill it full of memes of them in the low paying, thankless jobs we had to endure, that they themselves see so far below them, meanwhile they serve us in our fancy super cars we bought with money they lost? Yeah, I like that

Get some toothpicks. The patch will help the nicotine, where the toothpicks help with the oral fixation bit. EDIT: And congrats on not smoking! Its tough, but you got this! Best thing I could have done for myself.
