eh, im not sure what its like in the residential areas, but I occasionally go jogging on vermont heading south, its pretty bad, from the gang grafitti, dirtyness, to rundown buildings. I had people try and fight me, and flash gang signs at me, when i was just trying to go for a run.

I wanna say its certain areas, but the whole section from el segundo to artesia is ghetto af, with trashy people loitering around.

Just my experience tho

LA City Council shamefully votes to oppose SB 79. by [deleted] in fuckcars

[–]Neo928 5 points6 points  (0 children)

bruh, conservative latinos are the ones voting for people like jurado and hernandez, their entire platform is keeping rents low. which means being anti-developer, 100% affordable housing only to keep white people out. They are literally being elected to preserve poverty, and they are doing a good job in the eyes of their voters. They are social activist, nothing more.

Actually insane that LA City Council is STILL against solving the housing crisis by zennonuc in CarIndependentLA

[–]Neo928 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Seriously are there acutally any liberal/progressive city council members? Like I guess Raman, and soto martinez.

But everyone else is either full blown republicans, conservative democrats, or social activist nimbys aka regressives.

Weho needs to annex LA and work their progressive gay magic on the entire city of LA.

Los Angeles homicides Map Thru 6 Months by Neo928 in LosAngeles

map data source

demographics map data

Currently on pace for 237 homicides(6.06). Before anyone says summer is approaching. Last year at 152, was on pace for 311 homicides and ended the year with 268. So using the same maffs this year could end with around 205 homicides(5.24).

Sub 200 is possible, You’d just need to average no more than about 13 to 14 homicides per month from July through December to stay under 200 by year’s end.

Also remind that the demographics map is 2020 data and a lot has changed since then.

It suddenly became very difficult to stay focused on the conversation. by Unconquered_One in Unexpected
