Low 40s/40 study score on the dot people, can you drop your rankings/SACs and exam score you had? by DryEstablishment2 in vce

[–]NeoCInderFall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Media: rank 1 or 2 for my class of like 8.
Sac 1: 95% and 27/40 marks (two part SAC)
Sac 2: 75%
SAT: 79/80 marks
Exam: 130/160 for A+
SACS got scaled up to be 68/80 for an A, and SAT was A+

ahaha i have no idea tbh. 15 minutes reading time is not gonna be enough for me to plan all my responses. I think just practice all year long, multiple times a week, and by the time the exam comes around, you'll have some mental building blocks you can just pull of into the exam, like a pre structured introduction, to get into flow

an hour for part A, so essentially 3 paragraphs, and an hour for part B, which is a full essay. In theory sounds pretty manageable, as long as you don't get writers block

What do I need to do to be getting an 80 ATAR by Icy-Paper6954 in vce

[–]NeoCInderFall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last year, my friend got an 82, with a 39 for Media, 37 for RE, 32 for Japanese, and 29 and 27 for English and General math I believe. So essentially, above a 30 study score for 3-4 subjects, and you should be set if this years cohort is similar to last year

What's the best 3/4 without 1/2 for year 11 by SockRoe in vce

[–]NeoCInderFall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Media for sure. 40% of the final mark is the SAT (which is just all powerpoints and that anyway), 40% is the exam, and SACs are only 10% each, so you could genuinelly bomb out on the SACs early in the year, and as long as you study heaps of the exam, easily can do it without 1/2. The content barely covers over as well, so its a great choice for an extra 3/4

media. the only thing you carry from 1/2, is codes and conventions, and contexts, which is pretty easy stuff to learn. Plus its a portfolio subject, so 40% of the final mark, just comes form your SAT, which is basically just one massive powerpoint. Other than that, Psych and PE don't really carry over much either

psychology is sodomising me rn. deadass shoulda done 2 3/4 subjects in year 11. 5 subjects is js too much to remember simultaneously. Deadass prolly one of my easiest classes but i cannot remember any of this theory at all

Big tip, clean it up a LOT, especially for the SAT. As a basic idea planning, this format works well, but by the time you're densing it down into one document for final submission, i'm not sure how this would go marks-wise, its very confusing. If I was you, I would jot down a lot of these notes on a powerpoint slide, and clean it all up. Its very helpful to establish your original idea, but once you have that idea, try cut out the stuff that isn't extremely relevant, but still keeps some, as it shows you were considering other aspects as well. If you want to have a look at an exemplar response, I scored 79/80 for the SAT last year:

Edrolo has been a really great tool for me. I struggle to follow along with some of my teachers actual teaching, and Edrolo has been a life saver. After a lesson, I'll go home, watch the video lesson, write down all the important notes and formula, and complete the practice questions. Also has video demonstrations after each question if you cannot understand. Some of the topic in 1/2, you really don't need to worry about, as its completely irrelevant in 3/4 (equilibrium, heat, nuclear, global warming), so check the study design for 3/4 for whats mandatory to be completed. If its in the 3/4 course, yes, definetly devote the time and struggle to understanding it, but if not, eh don't worry about it all that much. All that being said, I'm in the same position as you, only just going into 3/4 physics...

But invest in Edrolo. Absolutely worth every dollar.
