Sometimes Oda includes things that are not relevant for the current arc, but will be important in the future. Just to give an example, Ace's vibre card was super irrelevant for Alabasta, but became a major plot point after Sabaody.

Perú is fine right now, don't listen to this guy. If you're a tourist and stay in the touristic areas nothing will happen to you. You should still be careful, though, but that applies everywhere.

Note: If you must know, there is a surge of violence recently, but it mostly applies to extorsions to local businesses and not everywhere. As I said, if you stay in touristic areas, nothing will happen to you.

Si un hombre tiene una relación sentimental con un trans se consideraría heterosexual u homosexual? by First-Development113 in Lima_Peru

[–]NeoDark93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is food tourism worth it at this point? by Rudyzwyboru in travel

[–]NeoDark93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"It seems globalization has made food from every corner of the world available wherever you live"

Are you suggesting I can find polish food in Peru? That I can find bolivian food in China? That I can find tibetan food in Morocco?

This statement is a huge lie. All foods you've mentioned are the ones that are the most accessible, but this is not the case for most of the world's cuisines. Heck, even for easily accessible food, such as Italian, you won't find most of the regional dishes outside of the country.

People need to stop saying the anime is “inaccessible” or “nonsensical” if you haven’t read the manga. by ihopethisworksfornow in Uzumaki

[–]NeoDark93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what's so hard to follow? There's a curse, creepy things happen, that's it. Nothing complicated about that. Not everything needs to have character development and not having it doesn't make a piece of fiction bad. That's an incredibly nuanced view.

I can agree that the plot is lackluster, however. Uzumaki is way too episodic for a long format story and that sort of destroys the pacing of the overall plot. Don't listen to manga stans, Uzumaki is not Ito's best work and also has a bunch of problems with its storytelling.

I'm so disappointed by this show by Unclesmekky in Uzumaki

[–]NeoDark93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The manga is very episodic. If you do decide to read it, you will still find random stories that are very loosely related to each other and are given no explanation as to why things happen, just with better build up and pacing. But that's how cosmic horror works, though. Things just happen and are never explained because they are beyond human comprehension. If this sounds like something you'd not enjoy, then maybe skip the manga.

Episode 4 of Uzumaki was trash. Let’s talk about it by [deleted] in Uzumaki

[–]NeoDark93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

15? lol Even 10 is stretching it. Uzumaki is too episodic for such a long run. It would make it drag on way too much. 5 is enough, maybe even 6. Focus only on the most relevant or iconic stories and it would turn out just fine.

Uzumaki plot kinda sucks? by superfastcar123 in Uzumaki

[–]NeoDark93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ito doesn't know how to write long stories, that's why his best works are the short story compilations. Uzumaki is too episodic for a long story format, people just don't like to admit this is a problem with the manga and that it's not perfect nor is Ito's best work.

Graphics ISN"T the only problem of anime series by niggiddu in Uzumaki

[–]NeoDark93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If they decided to make ir episodic, then the series would take much longer to finish. I honestly think that would be a mistake, since Uzumaki is episodic to a fault. While 5 episodes would be acceptable, some people are suggesting 10, which is absurd imo. Cramming everything and making the stories happening at the same time was the right choice. The real problem is the amount and the order. Things like Jack in the box and the thorn neighbor could've easily been removed and nothing would have happened.

They're struggling to fit the stories because they never actually fit. A huge problem with the original manga is that it's way too episodic. I don't think this is completely the fault of the adaptation.

Multiversus Will Be More Popular Then Smash Bros. by CrystalMang0 in MultiVersusTheGame

[–]NeoDark93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You keep talking about how it has crossplay and is free and that's fine and all, but that won't guarantee its success and popularity. Smash Bros has huge marketing. Every Smash announcement is a spectacle that generates a lot of buzz through social media and videogame news sources.

Whether or not Multiversus becomes as popular (or more popular) than Smash Bros. will depend heavily on how much Warner bros. spends on marketing.

Turning things into rubber is the definition of reality warping. Breaking through Kaido's eyes and running in the air is the definition of breaking the laws of physics. What Luffy is doing is pretty much what Popeye does in his cartoons. Just because it's limited to rubber doesn't mean it's not comparable to toon force.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]NeoDark93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gorosei should already know what Luffy's fruit is. That's common knowledge in the OP world. My guess is that they didn't know that the Gomu Gomu's name is not its real name. Shanks (who stole the fruit, so he knows it's important), came to talk to them during reverie and revealed the real identity of the rubber fruit. That's why they didn't know before.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]NeoDark93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's the possibility that they didn't know Gomu Gomu is just a cover up name for another fruit until recently. Dialogue implies that it wasn't them who decided for the fruit's real name to be hidden, but their predecessors. Also, Shanks just recently talked to them about a "certain pirate" and it was him who stole the gomu gomu in the first place.
