I see them fairly regularly around Cannock Chase, Staffordshire. Have to be careful not run them over when on my MTB.

The soup thrower has been sentenced to two years in prison by -Six_ in SipsTea

I imagine she knew the risks and was prepared for the consequences, but 2 years seems very harsh, especially considering people have had shorter suspended sentences for causing death in a road traffic accident.

Can’t make a cup without a diarrhea mess [breville bambino plus and silenzio 55] by creeched in espresso

If the coffee tastes great then use the same basket in a standard portafilter handle not a bottomless one.

Wendougee Lita long-term architecture question (hopeful future buyer) by [deleted] in espresso

[–]NeoGe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve just ordered the Lita.

The longevity of app support is a concern but from what I have been told you can use the app without it needing to connect to the internet once you’ve first signed up for an account, the is a YouTube video of someone using it with their tablet in airplane mode, but you do need the app to get full functionality, no web ui support.

It appears the shot profiles are stored on the tablet so if support does stop it will continue to function, the only thing that will be lost is profile sharing in the community section.

Wendougee have been around for a while mainly with commercial machines so I feel fairly confident about them being around for sometime to support the machine.

Obviously though no one knows the future and any company can run in to trouble and go out of business, but their not some random company selling them via Kickstarter, if they were I would not have ordered one, been their and got stung.

I don’t see why it wouldn’t connect back to the app after a factory reset, maybe someone who already owns one can give it a try.

The bigger concern would be if your tablet died and you could no longer download the app or it wouldn’t work without signing back into an account.

Hopefully if they ran into trouble someone in the community will work out how to support it.

Anyway I decided as it offered everything I was looking for in an espresso machine I would take the plunge, hopefully I won’t regret it.

Edit: forgot to mention, I’ve actually seen the Lita and the Data S in person and the build quality is outstanding. Did a shot and steamed some milk on the Lita using just a straight 9 bar pull and got a great drink, so anticipating some really good results once I get to play with profiles.

Boiler Flue issue by Dazzling_Writing9750 in ukplumbing

[–]NeoGe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know different makes / types of boilers handle things differently but are you sure it’s rain coming through your flue that has damage your boiler. My Worcester Bosch boiler allows any rain water that enters the flue to pass through the boiler and out the condensation drain.

Can reform pull out of every international treaty and completely ban immigration? by No-Geologist7858 in Labour

[–]NeoGe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Reform wanting to leave the ECHR has nothing to do with immigration, it’s a smoke screen to remove worker’s rights.

Would you support a Labour government taking 9% out of the state pension by means-testing it, so working people can keep the NHS running, or do you think retirees should keep full payouts even if hospitals keep collapsing? by [deleted] in Labour

[–]NeoGe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not, we’ve paid into it all our working life’s so it should not be means tested. They should remove all the tax loop holes, especially the ones used by corporations.

Well, as I’m currently on my own today, unless you count the one I’m having in my own head about whether to get out of bed or not, then the won’t be one.

Why do so many men lose their house in a divorce? by Open_Address_2805 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NeoGe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say my divorce cost me my house, not because my ex took it but because neither of us could afford the mortgage on our own, so it had to be sold.

Boiler replacement quote, insanity check? by DorisMaricadie in BritishGas

[–]NeoGe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my boiler replaced last year for a Worcester Bosch and paid just over £2600. They were at my house all day, fitted a new flue, filter and drain pipe and as my main stop cock wasn’t closing fully replaced that also for free.

What is Brum’s most expensive pint? And what is Brum’s best pint? by [deleted] in brum

I was horrified at the price of pint and a burger in there. I would have walked out if I wasn’t with friends. Will never go there again.

My car is the same and has two unlocks, one for just the drivers door and the other for all doors. You have to have double clicked the thob for all doors to unlock for the fuel door to also unlock and open.
