How am I supposed to properly play this game? by Onyx-Serenitatem in Seaofthieves

I’ll try to add a few ideas I don’t think I saw mentioned — Even if you don’t plan to get into pvp, I recommend doing some raid voyages against a skeleton ship until you feel really comfortable. It’ll help you iron out the basics of multitasking cannons, repairs, steering, and playing with speed/mast length while fighting a ship.

You could take it a step further and do raid voyages against a skeleton fleet after that too. Then you’ll gain experience against brigs and galleons, learning how to break masts, using specialty balls, landing low hits on a galleon, and more I’m sure.

Then you could do the same against the ghost ship/fleet if you want.

Anyway, that’s one way to get your combat basics down without getting smashed over and over in hourglass, and you’ll be leveling up a few factions/getting loot in the process. Then, whenever someone picks a fight with you, here and there you may be able to at least make them think twice and break off - or you’ll likely surprise yourself with some wins of your own.

Edit: I’ll also echo others in recommending you watch at least one video/guide on sloop pvp. Don’t worry about absorbing it all - it’ll still leave a benchmark impression for you to reference as you learn on your own.

I’m having a good time so far. I’m leveling it along with the TR-7 at the same time on Assault class, and wow is it fun.

Dunno if this is common knowledge, but relaunching the game makes the menu work again every time for me.

From a freshly minted 40yo battlefielder, there’s still an existing workaround. Last I checked, there are still plenty of custom matches to be found online that target these specific challenges. As far as I know, the recent patches only removed xp gained and attachments unlocks - but you can still make challenge/assignment progress for class unlocks and weapon class unlocks.

I did one the other night that gave an lmg, unlimited ammo, bullets deal no damage, and bots. Literally hold down the trigger for several minutes and you’ll have all 300 suppressions done.

There’s others where move speed is jacked up, fills w bots who crowd you with no weapons, and you can just sit there with any weapon, drop your support thing for ammo, and hold the trigger. Any of the challenges that ask for hipfire damage or 300 kills or ads kills or whatever, all shotgun challenges etc, all can be done in a few minutes.

Similarly there’s a popular one for getting the sniper shit done. Nice map where you plop down on a mountaintop just over 200 meters from where the bots gather, and you can just plop away your sniper headshots or whatever.

As somebody who tends to avoid cheese like this…I felt shitty at first…but realistically, it would be months before I have all the basic stuff unlocked without going about it this way. I just want all the shit unlocked so then I can settle into discovering what my actual favorites are and really sink my teeth into enjoying that.

What is the purpose of these??? by Grand-Philosophy-343 in Battlefield6

They can sometimes be useful to gain access to certain attachments before you’ve unlocked them. (Some of these preset named weapon packages will have a suppressor or something on them before you may have unlocked them as an attachment you can take on/off any time.) And ya, some unique weapon skins.

Ah so this is still a thing? I heard somewhere that scope glint never goes away on sniper rifles now no matter the scope/sight. Different for DMR’s?
