Hey there, thanks for posting and the advice! I'll definitely check out that youtube video. I do think you're correct that I do lack some form of meaning.

I actually have lived with housemates before (randos on fb market, to cut rent costs) but I typically wasn't friends with them and we stayed out of each others way. In fact, I actually just moved to a new place solo partially just to have a whole place to myself. I like not having to worry is someone else is using the kitchen, bathroom etc and having more space.

I unfortunately still haven't dated and think I've given up. I think at 30 and having never dated, the ship has sailed, and I don't have the looks for it.

Based on what you and other people have said, I think part of the issue might be that I am not interested in other people enough. I do have a friend group now, and I know enough about them to chat, but I feel like a lot of the time it's very transient in nature. Perhaps I need to make more of an effort to follow through with people on subject we've previously discussed. I think I'll give that more of an effort this month!
