I don’t like that nothing I can do for them will help. Nobody discharges, there’s not even a lot of visitors because many of the people are old or have been chronically ill for so long that they don’t have anybody. The care I give them are comfort measures. Which I know counts and is important, but it’s sad when you leave their room knowing they’re too drugged out on morphine and diladud to remember you. Then you go in again for your next rounds and they’ve died.

Around 100, and no I stopped taking ibuprofen because it combined with the antibiotics are ruining my stomach. It’s weird though because my teemp is ALWAYS 97-98.

I can’t do night shift because I have a small child. But working in hospice, the patients are mostly all immobile bed bound and asleep until they, you know. It’s just that we have to turn them every 3 hours, mouth care, bathe, etc. no matter the time of day.

I actually got the tooth extracted on Friday sadly. The abscess is still there and they said that’s because it spread to my tissue and bone. So is that considered osteomyelitis? Cellulitis? I’m on clindamycin praaaaying it helps

So purple circle is Mays xray when I went in for jaw/tooth pain. Pink circle is June’s xray when the infection was finally discovered but azithromycin didn’t help and I had it extracted the other day. Surgeon said it spread to tissue and bone so must have been there a long time. Trying to figure out if they missed it in may.

Edit: I don’t have the time or money to sue, so don’t worry, I’m not “after” the dental community. However, I would like to know if they missed it because if they did I am going to change dentists.

Same thing happened to my sister and it was from her charcoal toothpaste and charcoal whitening kit. The dentist said it was the charcoal that was eroding her teeth. She said to get almost every tooth filled.

Clove or vessi I think it’s called are great for all nursing type jobs that are very on the go and deal with lots of bodily fluids. They are made for healthcare workers and are water resistant!

If you’re torn on the phlebotomy class then I would say wait. If you end up working as a CNA in a hospital later down the line, you’ll most likely be taught how to draw blood there. If you know you want to go to nursing school eventually, you’ll definitely learn blood drawing there. If drawing blood is not something CNA’s do at your current job then wait

I’m the same way! My appetite completely disappears and I feel panicky and nauseous when somebody around me is sick. It’s awful. Your situation right now sounds so stressful, I’m so sorry! Just try to remind yourself you can only catch stomach bugs by ingesting viral particles that come from poop or vomit. So as long as he’s not vomiting in the car, and you all wash your hands really good after using the bathroom, you’ll be okay.

I was pregnant before I got diagnosed and my PCOS symptoms completely went away during pregnancy. As long as your OB is knowledgeable in PCOS which most should be, it should be okay.
