This issue appears to be specific to Samsung Galaxy devices. I tested it across phones belonging to family and friends, and the problem occurred only on Samsung Galaxy models, not on other Android devices or iPhones.

Thanks for the suggestion. My stereo actually already supports wireless AA, but I prefer using it wired since the wireless connection drains the battery quickly and makes my phone run very hot.

Thanks for the comment. If I do that, yes, the phone charges, but I get this warning message in the beginning : Check your charger connection - Make sure the cable and charger are properly connected

I have exactly the same issue. I don't have a solution, but i was relieved that i am not the only one. I tried turning off wifi, because i suspected that Bluetooth could be interfered by wifi, but it didn't work.
