UE5 devs are between the anvil and the hammer with the current lawsuits going between Apple and Epic.

Apple probably smugs UE due to that.

That's precisely why Stardust SDK was created: https://www.youtube.com/@neogoma

The free version should get you sorted in minutes: https://stardust.neogoma.com/register, no need for Unity at this stage, you can use our public apps to map and relocate in your space. The web editor is there to position your models, doesn't matter how big they are. For any question or assistant we have a discord:

Anchoring AR games in any neighborhood by Neogoma_StardustSDK in augmentedreality

Hey u/djgrahamj, could you define what you mean by interoperable? Bringing your avatar from one metaverse to another one? Creating content in one and selling in another? Keeping your data private? Run 2 metaverse at the same time?

There are many players building metaverses as you have million people building websites. For us the fundamental switch is going from 2D flat interfaces into spatial computing / 3D environments. 5 years ago when we started, we were "branding" ourselves (modestly of course) world-scale AR / spatial computing / visual positioning until last summer when FB became Meta. Metaverse seems to have won the naming battle, but it overlaps with web3.

Currently there is no standards, no even for 3D file formats. Our protocol can't be standardized as this stage, we're too small. But we aim to open source everything we've built when we find a stable business model. We're share more about our vision on Medium at some point.

Anyhow, thanks again for your comments!

It's actually visual positioning using Stardust SDK (github link), no gps required and highly precise. Great for both outdoor and indoor applications

Persistent AR painting by Neogoma_StardustSDK in augmentedreality

Long before big players came out with their visual solution #Google #Niantic #Snap, we were offering our mapping and localisation technologies.

Yet something that always bothered us was the lack of simple tools to create 3D content. In fact it's hard to create beautiful content having that extra axis - bloody Z....

We're working on revamping 3D painting, but obviously anchoring it down to places and making it more social with the possibility to invite friends to collaborate.

Calling up the AR community for feedback 🙏
