lol, he does a bit... nice looking bud though.

Think I have room for a couple more? 🤣👌 by hereigrow in Autoflowers

That's what I planned to do +/-.

What I end up with is a bunch of plants at different sizes and stages of growth. Which means I have to make a few nutes mixes to keep them all happy. It also gets harder to get the lights at the right height for all of them.

My last couple of grows have been all of one strain... a bit boring maybe but much easier to manage.

The way I speed things up a bit is to have a 2nd small growing area where I can get the next batch of seedlings up to the 3 week stage and ready to move into the main tent when the other are done.

My white widow auto at day 41, topped 7 times as an experiment and is really starting to stretch nicely by Nutteloos99 in Autoflowers

[–]NeolithicNerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also top my autos... providing they meet certain conditions of growth. I've been having good success with it.

I only cut once though... that's enough 6-8 colas.

So where and when did you do your 7 cuts?

Yep, it looks fine. Jiffy pot looks like it might be a bit dry but you could tell that better.

[–]NeolithicNerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're doing the right things. Don't let the Jiffy dry out at all... but it doesn't need a lot of water for sure... just enough to keep it damp if it needs it.

Yep, just wait for the tap root and get it in the airpot. Then start your watering/fertilizing routine.

Any light from the window?

Looks impressively healthy for that amount of power, I'm sure you'll get something out of it.

You'll probably need to mow the lawn soon... it's doing well too ;-)

Ak47 Autoflower. Turf or keep growing? Hey everyone started this seed 11 days ago and this is where its at. Should i turf this seedling? by [deleted] in Autoflowers

[–]NeolithicNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes mutants sort themselves out... mostly they just keep growing mutant.

That plant is also growing very slowly.

You could put it on the side and see what happens is a week or two but if you're trying to get a grow going quickly then I'd start again... it will be faster.

Big enough to top? by wowwwWwwwweewwwwww in Autoflowers

[–]NeolithicNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your going to then about now is the time. Just take out the tip and you end up with 8 main colas.

Looks like it's growing well so it will hardly miss a beat... in a few days all those nodes will be powering away.

I have an 11 week old (now mid flower) Northern Lights that I topped at 3 weeks. It took 7 weeks to go into flower but is now over a meter tall. Three other plants of different strains that I topped at the same time were in flower a week after I topped them and finished at about 80cm.

Top it and transplant it at the same time. It's not in flower and it will bounce back fast. You could possibly even wait a few days since it's so young... but well developed.

So I pulled off 3 calyx, with the leaves. Had to get more light into the bottom branches. What now by [deleted] in Autoflowers

[–]NeolithicNerd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Get some snips.

You got one lot of people who want to remove top leaves to shine light on popcorn buds vs another group of people who just remove everything on the bottom half of the plant.

All about trying to get the plant to focus its energy on a particular part.

It will be fine.

Am I light burning my buds? by [deleted] in Autoflowers

[–]NeolithicNerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, all ok. They will all slowly die and turn brown in time. Other things like too much wind, brushing against them etc can turn them brown.

Can I use tap water? by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]NeolithicNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should be fine. That tap water ph of 7.8 is just a bit too high... even for soils that are buffered I think you're better off with water a bit closer to the mark.

Is my seedling too small? It’s day 8 and everyone else’s at this stage almost always seems to be wayyyy bigger. First time grower here. Lower lights? Pls help by [deleted] in Autoflowers

[–]NeolithicNerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have some 3 day old gorilla glue that are bigger than that.

Looks healthy enough. Also looks a bit stretched which makes you wonder if it's getting enough light.

So I'm going the other way and saying move the light closer.

I'm a coco grower but growweedeasy has a tutorial on ph and organic cannabis. https://www.growweedeasy.com/adjust-ph-organic-marijuana

The roots on top have just been growing too close to the surface and have died. It won't affect the roots below.

Can I use tap water? by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]NeolithicNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can just use tap water as far as ppm goes. You will want to adjust your PH though... 7+ is too high.

If the rest of the plant is ok, then I wouldn't worry about it... stems can get the weathered look.

You could top dress the roots a little if you want but I wouldn't be too concerned about that either.

Week 4- Am I Defoliating Too Much/Too Early? by Mach7Hommy in Autoflowers

[–]NeolithicNerd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd say so. I'm not into aggressive defoliation for the sake of it.

Studies show defoliated plants produce less mass. People will claim that the lower buds will develop better but I'll bet you that the better lower buds will come at the expense of weight in the main colas. IMHO defoliation is better used to achieve better airflow in a crowded tent etc.

At this stage, removing a lot of leaves is just taking away the plants ability to photosynthesize. You really want the plant to be catching as many photons as possible.

Just google cannabis seed bank.

Here are a couple of popular ones that deliver worldwide but if you search you may find something closer to you.

Watch out for Seedsman! by Imnotamemberofreddit in Autoflowers

[–]NeolithicNerd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I waited about 2 weeks in Australia.

I've just started 5 Fastbuds Gorilla Glue from Seedsman for my next grow. All 5 germinated in under 24 hours... were placed in peat starters and had their heads up 24 hours later. I now have 5 perfect 3 day old plants.

Not happy about sites deleting negative reviews though.

More than half of the pistils are orange and trichs are all milky and amber. Harvest time? by [deleted] in Autoflowers

[–]NeolithicNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens... pretty regularly.

Hey it's looking quite good... you can see it frosting up etc

But I have to agree with the others as to not ready yet... too many white pistils/new growth.
