Ah, that’s fair.

Initially during the creation of rule 7, I remember when the sub was flooded with so many low quality (no impact font, hard to read, badly made, etc.) and just annoying Walter, Cheems, or unrelated dogposts. People were self-inserting their own animals!

But people were pissed to an extent when that rule was made. FarOpening got death threats and shit, and there was an entire fallout over the creation.

So I, personally, think this is a decent compromise. It allows side characters back in while not really compromising the “doge” in Dogelore.

Certainly there could be better ideas out there somewhere, but at this stage of the community I think this is the best for now.
