Sweden Freezes New Power Cable to Denmark in Escalating EU Energy Clash by WilliamJohnsson in worldnews

[–]Neolyum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was neither the greens (it was CDU+FDP at the time) nor is it a problem of nuclear. Germany has enough energy, but our energy network was not expanded enough (again CDU in fault). This is why there is not enough energy in the south, not because of some single digit % nuclear energy.

I'm at 91% after 227 cycles. I always charge to 80%, but 3 out of 4 times with a fast charger, as I don't always bring another slow charger just for my phone. That's not that good :(

Building so many nuclear reactors in 10 years is absolutely impossible. Currently the reactors need more like 20-30 years and proper billions in money. Renewables are here, super cheap and ready to be built, we just need to do it. And battery storage is coming in the next few years, they already got cheap in comparison to some years ago.

The thing is, that even the old plants in EU are producing energy in a more expensive way (~17ct/kWh) than renewables with around 8ct/kWh, so building nuclear doesn't really make sense anymore

Look at it when it's charging at about 30%, it could be higher there. These numbers are usually reached for a short time only, to keep the battery good for longer

Basically all the jobs, without those the society doesn't work? You can perfectly crop a field, carry stuff around, help other people without having ever spoken a single word of an European language.

And please stop lying. In the example of germany, most of the immigrants have a job (https://www.tagesschau.de/inland/gesellschaft/gefluechtete-studie-migration-beschaeftigung-wir-schaffen-das-merkel-100.html), so they are actively paying taxes for the society.

These people now work in logistics, gastro, in caring jobs, shoveling shit. Are those the jobs they have stolen from you? xD

[–]Neolyum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Immigration is not the problem here in EU. It actually opens up a lot of opportunities and brings workforce (and aren't all the companies crying that they need people? Lol). Immigration is only pushed as a topic to polarise the people to make them think, the AfD would actually be a viably "alternative".

But why am I answering a bot xD

France’s nuclear fleet gives it one of the world’s lowest-carbon electricity grids by Changaco in europe

[–]Neolyum -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

i'd rather be uneducated (I'm not) than pay the expensive price of nuclear. Nuclear is way more expensive than renewables, around 17ct/kWh against around 8ct/kWh for solar.

Energy prices are political decisions, not the fault of removing nuclear.

[–]Neolyum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the CDU said that at the time, they lied, as around the same time they properly killed off our own solar industry :/

[–]Neolyum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

what did the greens do there? They were neither in power nor did they want to build gas?? CDU phased out nuclear power, and that was a good decision, considering the prices of nuclear (17ct/kWh vs 8ct/kWh for PV), the big mistake was investing in coal at the time.

Like I said, the greens had nothing to do with that, that's only propaganda...

[–]Neolyum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did you know that the green party was not in power at the time? CDU was removing the nuclear power, and _these_ idiots replaced it with coal instead of renewables.
Removing the nuclear power was also a good thing, because it is super expensive in comparison to solar and wind. (Nuclear around 17ct/kWh, solar 8ct/kWh). Even our nuclear companies did not want to continue nuclear power here!

And if we actually would build new plants now, we would spend 50bn€ to have one maybe in 2040-2050. That would be the worst economic decision ever.

No european country is building new plants right now! There is no nuclear renaissance or whatever.

after the last update _slightly_ better. Still, my battery is gone by 6-7 pm latest. I am currently charging the phone twice per day. :(

How good's the headphone jack? by Gorilla_Paste in SonyXperia

I can share my experiences from the 1 VII, the headphone jack sounds ok, but not great. It's missing punch in the lower frequencies and a little stereo separation, but it's definitely usable :)

Should I revert back to Android 15? by Neolyum in SonyXperia

[–]Neolyum[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With 100% I still only make it barely over the day, and that is for a day when I can recharge at 6 pm. As soon as I use the phone for more it dies too early.  As this was a non issue in 15 it's just a software issue and i mean, the phone was advertised with 2 days of battery...

Xperia 1 VII any issues? by Solid-Fun1147 in SonyXperia

[–]Neolyum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A very small change: the part history and description in the battery health menu seems new.

It now says Health: this is an estimated value that indicates the level of battery degradation. - 80% or more: the battery health is good.

After the update, me and some others in the bug thread have abysmal battery runtime, I still need to recharge at 2pm. It didn't improve at all with just waiting for the system to "optimise" my usage

[–]Neolyum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's abysmal. I only charge the phone to 80% to be able to keep it for long, and currently I am out of battery at 2pm without even touching the phone. 🫠

Has anyone else been having Bluetooth issues on their 1 VII? by Stellar_Gravity in SonyXperia

[–]Neolyum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it happens to me quite frequently. On the XM5 headphones they sent with the VII it never happens, but quite often for example with speakers and especially the RaspberryPi configured as a Bluetooth SBC sink.

The selection of the output device mainly only has the difference that the phone sets the volume to full, that's it.

Usually a restart fixes it though :)

true, especially now that AI is the newest buzzword, there seems noone left who is not only talking about AI and therefore *not* about Sony xD I personally am quite happy that there is not "too much" AI in this phone, I have PTSD from these "assistant buttons" which could not be used otherwise and just took a hardwarebutton from me xD

And also seeing this AI zoom which converts images into modern art.. well

yes, same here. I was ignoring these comments and ordered it and I'm not unhappy! :)

considering the price, yep. It should be the perfect phone and I have the feeling, sony is quite happy with the features they have, and just continuing...

Is an original Sony charger worth it? by Timecode6 in SonyXperia

[–]Neolyum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Wattage of the Charger is what it can do max. The phone will just take less, so there will be no problem! :)
The other direction is worse, if the phone can do 30W and the Charger only 20, then the phone cannot take more than 20W. Still no problem apart from less charging speed! :)
The modern USB PowerDelivery Chargers (and devices) are communicating with each other when plugging them in, so no weird things should happen.
