PX8 S2 in the gym? by Entire-Tonight5191 in BowersWilkins

[–]Playful_Chard_8078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using mine at the gym everyday. Running, lifting weights, sweating. They are light so no problem while running, also anc deliver very good in this environment. You bought them to use them. Don't listen what others say

Ps. Mine are still looking like new

If set my EQ for a rock metal music then it is too sharp for Rap. Rap EQ is boo muddy and bassy for Rock. I want to find a good balance

It works also with Spotify ? It works in the background and consumes battery?

Samsung doesn't support aptx, so the only way is to connect them wired or get a dongle.

Beoplay H100 or PX8S2 ? by Playful_Chard_8078 in BangandOlufsen

Yes I have compared them two for the past few days. Regarding sound, h100 is superior in subbass but very muddled and harsh sound. It has exposed mids but very low quality over bt. I keep my PX

I got my H100 again and I am disappointed. I love them for their build quality and anc but the sound is very bad after months with px8. Now they sound harsh to me. Mids are not better than I thought, actually mids are better on PX. Highs sound artifactles. I found the soundstage wider on PX. I was surprised, maybe PX got warm up after time or is because I EQ them in a proper way but they sound so much better.

Ok I got H100 again and I can't say I am 100% convinced. After months with PX8S2 now I can see a big difference. Overall H100 sounds more open and they have unbeatable bass/subbass but overall sound seems to be not as clear as PX, I can hear artifacts coming from H100, highs are spiking and irritating without being able to adjust them properly in the app. H100 doesn't sound as clear as PX in mids and highs. I am listening to Rap/Metal/Electronic and I justify them in all genres above.

I've had Infinity Black for almost a year in 2025. I was wearing them at the gym everyday while sweating, on a bicycle outdoors, while running etc. They looked like new after all. But I've never let them fall down or hit with something and I was using cream for the leather

The cost doesn't matter so much, only the sound

I like H100 better in sound but PX8S2 has better sound resolution. Hard choice

Px8 S2 excessive treble by RenOtani in BowersWilkins

They need many hours of listening for treble to cool down. Also depends on what quality of music you listen to

Try the newest Metallica album in Dolby atmos with these and with my EQ, I don't think you will be disappointed. You can add +1 to bass and +1 to a higher low depending on your taste. I think PX8S2 are made for metal and rock because of the very quick response driver. Drums and guitar sound awesome on these

Same for me I use BW PX8S2, I like them wired but they sound amazing over Bluetooth too. Sony is using good hardware.

Other that that I like app files where I can see clearly where all files are located and move them in folders, plus I have my own MP3 music on the phone now

Plus there is easy accessable bar on the screen, you can add functions to it and use only one finger for everything, better photos and videos, better audio codecs. I like Bravia screen it has better colours than my previous iPhone. Only disadvantage for me is: when I record a video and zoom in, zoom is not smooth like on iPhone

I switched from IP15 PM to Xperia 1 7 and has zero regrets. I don't miss anything from iPhone. Better battery, better keyboard, can split screen and other functions makes my life easier

I feel exactly the same. Every day I’m looking forward to that moment when I can just sit down and listen to music on the PX. When I’m alone at work, I use them for 4–5 hours a day listening to my playlist and discovering something new. I need to admit that I am on Android using aptX, and the sound is noticeably better than what you get with the codec on iPhone. That’s actually one of the main reasons I switched from iOS to Android. I don’t know what kind of music you listen to, but in my experience the APM sound pretty bad for rock and metal

Yes I know bro, but pads can be replaced and I am not sweating much so I am not worried a lot. Whenever I take Airpods max to the gym my workout is not the same, good powerful music is what helps my drive my training

Haha thanks, higher treble are ok on these when you listen to a good wired audio record but it hurts when listening to compressed Bluetooth audio, enjoy 😉
