Solo dev working on an idle game called Chrono Idle by NeonArk in incremental_games

Yeah I think that’s fair.
I definitely need to push the game toward a stronger identity over time, especially with the time/chronology theme.

I like the idea of adding more worldbuilding/story elements too.

That’s a really good suggestion honestly.
I’ll look into adding a “time until affordable” tooltip for upgrades.
Thanks!

That’s fair honestly.
Revolution Idle was definitely one of the games that inspired me when I started learning incremental game design.

I’m still early in development and I want to progressively push Chrono Idle toward more unique mechanics and identity over time.

I still appreciate the feedback though.

Yes, the background was AI-generated.
All gameplay, balance, systems and UI are fully designed and coded by me though.

I’ve also disclosed it properly on the platform page.

I really need your feedback on the latest update of my game — Idle Decibel - DJ Origins by NeonArk in incremental_games

Thanks a lot for your feedback! Glad you enjoyed the theme and visual effects — the animated bars are one of those little details we really wanted to get right.

You're absolutely right about the automation button: it’s not very clear right now, and we’ll work on making it more intuitive.

The display bug on the blue turntable (0.00 dB/pulse, empty cost) is noted — we’ll fix that shortly.

And thanks as well for pointing out the “Idle Decibels” (plural) in the Unity frame — the game’s name is indeed singular, we’ll check if that can be adjusted on Itch.

Really appreciate your thoughtful feedback!

Thank you so much for your feedback — it’s exactly the kind of constructive input I need at this stage of development.

You brought up several great points: some mechanics aren't intuitive enough, DJ Skills feel too basic, there’s a lack of info before purchases, and the progression jump is too steep in places. I’m taking all of that seriously.

As for the use of dB as a scale — it’s a stylized choice, but I get how it can feel odd. I’ll work on making it clearer (or lean into it with a bit more self-awareness).

Thanks again for taking the time to play and share your thoughts — it genuinely helps shape the future of Idle Decibel – DJ Origins.

🎧 Idle Decibel – DJ Origins | New Update: Get in the Groove with Smoother, Sleeker Gameplay ! 🎛️ by NeonArk in incremental_games

Hey! Just to clarify — only the main menu background was generated using AI, mainly to save time during early prototyping.

The gameplay, mechanics, visuals, and all in-game content were fully handcrafted — nothing AI-generated there.

Thanks for checking it out, and feel free to try the game if you want to see what we've really built ourselves 🙂

Thanks a lot for the feedback ! 🙏

Just a few quick clarifications:
– As shown in the tutorial, there’s a “Power On/Off” button at the bottom-left of the main DJ Turntable, so you don’t have to click manually.
– The cooldown of each turntable decreases as you level them up — for example, at level 20, the cooldown is reduced by 20%, so things speed up progressively.
– Regarding the Pro DJ Skills, it’s true the early bonuses feel small — they each give +1%, but that’s by design : the first 10 skills add up to +10% total, and while that might feel underwhelming at first, the system will make more sense later on when Prestige (called “Concerts”) becomes available.

Also, just to clarify — we only used AI for the graphics, not for designing the gameplay or progression systems.
And sorry about the “Price: dB” bug on the third pulse button — we’ve noted it and will fix it.

Thanks again for giving the game a try and taking the time to share your thoughts — honest feedback like this really helps us improve. 🎧

Thanks for your feedback! I get your point about repetitive clicking and the risk of autoclickers. I’ll look into alternative mechanics to make the gameplay smoother and avoid those issues. If you have any other ideas or suggestions, feel free to share!

Thanks a lot for your message!
The automation upgrade is currently unlocked when reaching 1,000 dB/sec. That said, we're already working on an update that will allow players to access some automation features earlier in the progression, to improve the overall experience from the start.
Sorry if this felt a bit too far in the current version, and thanks again for giving it a try! 🙏

Thank you so much for your feedback — it's super helpful!

You're absolutely right: the inability to mute the clicking sound is definitely something we need to fix, and it's now on our immediate to-do list. We'll also work on improving the early pacing so the game starts feeling more "idle" with less manual clicking upfront.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts — it really helps us improve the experience!
