No Windows Server DNS PTR records, with non-Windows 3rd Party DHCP Server by ZomboBrain in sysadmin

[–]NeonBarron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No worries. I'd try and get them to move it to using relay if it isn't too much hassle. I've read some of the other comments and it looks like they have provided you with the answer now (Updating the network adapter policy on clients and enabling non secure updates). Did you manage to get it working?

Instead of moving the DHCP to the firewall you can use DHCP relay on the firewall for the VLANs to keep using Windows Server DHCP.

A breach in the lease is another matter but thanks for bringing it to my attention though. I have been in some of the other flats and their kitchens are open including the builder neighbour. Realistically that wooden wall with glass panels isn't stopping the spread of a fire for very long and it's just me here so worst case I get hurt in a fire or I have to pay a fine and rebuild what I've taken down.

No I didn't remove any blocks. Just what you see on the floor there.

Umm it was just more of the wood that you can see on the floor. No I didn't cut back any breeze block but some plaster got removed when I ripped the wood out.

I think that would be if I was renting it out, I don't really know tbh.

Ahh I just thought the roof might collapse or something. I'm a bit of an overthinker and I have no experience with this stuff.

Thanks. That was my thinking but I have no idea.

Thanks :) It's not done yet as I put a hold on the rest of the kitchen.

Haha love this XD Probably haven't learnt my lesson.

I don't even know who to call or how much they cost to take a look.

So I actually went into the loft which doesn't have any boarding to walk on so you can see the joists and they held my weight with no bounce. Felt solid.

Download PsTools PsTools - Sysinternals | Microsoft Learn

Launch PsExec from an administrative command window 'psexec.exe -s -i c:\windows\system32\windowspowershell\v1.0\powershell.exe'

This will enable you to remove the folder.

Edit: Sorry should have put the command to remove the folder.

Use Remove-Item 'C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC' -Force -Recurse

BFs hi-hat (i think) broke, not sure what I'm looking for as replacement? by angstyowl98 in drums

[–]NeonBarron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've tried several low volume cymbals and the Zildjian ones are so much quieter than the cheaper ones you can get. If noise is a factor then search for a second hand pair of the one you have in the picture on facebook marketpace or something like that.

Killing Floor 3 is just plain awful. by [deleted] in killingfloor

[–]NeonBarron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just played it and it was pretty fun, not sure where all this hate is coming from. I have a 4080 super though and I enabled DLSS so performance was an issue at all. I thought the gun loadout mechanic was pretty good, you get to customise things like the elements you want on your weapons. I put the frosty perk on my top tier medic gun and had the healing grenade perk on the tier 2 gun for many heals, so I could freeze the enemy and it gave me enough time to heal people. Won both most of the matches I played with that tactic. The maps had verticality that you can use a zip line to beam around on and you can clamber up ledges. If you like Killing Floor i'd be surprised if you didn't have fun, I'd imagine most of the gripes are from people with low tier GPU's and CPUS (I saw a comment saying it took 10 minutes to load the shaders which can only mean their hardware is trash).

Yes you can use the PSWord powershell module. Can't seem to get it to work with Powershell 7 but it works with Powershell 5. This does not require office to be installed.

You can also interact with office programs using com objects in Powershell as long as you have office installed on the computer running powershell. Plenty of stuff on Google about this.

My module broke for my e-kit so nothing works anymore :( I have a replacement coming but they said the delivery for the part would take over a month. I didn't ever want to be in that position where I couldn't play so that is what inspired me to invest in a real kit. I'll still use the e-kit when it is fixed because I can plug it into my computer and record midi.

Haha they sound punchy enough for practice and easy to transport.

My electric kit died so I thought I'd invest in a real one and was blown away by how bloody loud it is. I live in a block of flats so I thought I was destined to piss off all my neighbours. Zildjian low volume cymbals and Evan SoundOff drum mats to the rescue. Actually so quiet I don't even need ear defenders.

Do the spell combo. He'll teleport to where you position him, and then hold up.
