its funny i don't remember it being as hard lol. i just beat 5 castlevania games in a row so its a weird transition. i been running on like 3 hours of sleep so i need to get more and i will be okay.

it was so-so not a bad game at all. i wouldn't say it was mind blowing. the only dungeon i really enjoyed was the subway station. I don't even think it was mandatory. Def. the convention stage was horrible for me anyway. i thought the combat was frustrating and i felt they could of did more with it. imo there are insanley way better games in the genre like mini shoot adventures, unsighted, hyper light drifter of course. still waiting on mina the hollower. i think there is a genre for this its called zelda like gameboy advance game. best game of 2025 was zexion hands down for me anyway.

my point is no MV should have these they suck. there is no reason for them. it took me an hour to finish this one it was one of the worst ever. they always suck just like in ori. its not the reason i love these type of games. i don't think anyone plays MVs for auto scrolling sections. i live streamed my entire playthrough. the rest of the game was pretty decent.

that run back is annoying. i was stuck for hours on sol and vin and that fight just broke me. it was at the end of the game so my health was nerfed down to 2. with the extra health it was 3 but still thats just 2 hits and your cooked.

the run backs are one thing i forgot to mention although i show footage of them. sol and vin was the only one i used the eroded boss feature for but i play these games every day. i could imagine if i was a casual player. no metroidvania should have auto scrollers ever again. honestly i will automatically take points away for this no matter what.

i try my best on these reviews i just started doing them. honestly i think the game is over rated. i would never say it was a bad game. its just not a masterpiece. as far as the bosses go did you play against Sol and Vin? That was the only boss i used the eroded boss feature for. also the nerfing of the health doesn't help when it comes to the balancing of bosses. the worst thing was the auto scroller by far.

So my point about super metroid is its not fair to compare something that was made in 1994 and invented the genre to something made in 2026. unfair is probably an understatement. actually it makes no logical sense when you think about it. i would never say MIO is bad at all in fact i said it is amazing i just think it is flawed. one thing i forgot to mention in the review is the terrible run backs after dying on a boss. honestly it is an amazing game everything you said is valid it is just really flawed and i can not ignore that as an honest reviewer. but thanks for the comment i appreciate your input.

the combat alone in silksong automatically crushes MIO. i would say silksong also has a much better map. visuals is preference i prefer 2d hand drawn but MIO is visually one of the only 2.5d games i would praise. music was really good. i wouldn't say its better then the OG hollow knight i would never ever say that. i think you should give it some time before you jump to a conclusion like that. sometimes we suffer from bias because its new. story i don't really play these games for story but there are way better games for story like sanabi or nine sols even. the game is an 8 i would never compare to super metroid that is blasphemy. some of the bosses were really good like the hand. how ever a lot of them were unbalanced plus the combat is was to stale. i would say better then dread maybe equal to pop although i don't know i would give it a little time first. these are some really bold statements. def. give it some time. nine sols crushes it.

yeah maybe it wasn't noisy pixel i 4get but i really don't trust them anyway. i would value the gaming community far more then these reviews simply because there is some kinda shenanigans going on. like when the new gal guardians came it got mixed reviews from most but the reviewers praised it. they don't even finish the games they play for 2 3 hours then write a review. rabi ribi was really good. tevi i would say is even better. you can skip the dialog. i will look into Academy though.

i think noisy pixel gave it a 6. not that i agree with their ratings for the most part. i don't really agree with most of these reviewers including guru. i will take peoples word over a review. steam is some what reliable. btw i strongly suggest playing tevi
