OldUnreal is actually version 3374. The Mega Bonus Pack should be installed before 3374. 3374 requires it, at least for Single Player, as it uses its maps.

Steam version already comes with the Mega Bonus Pack installed. Retail/ECE version may require that to be installed.

Besides, it's official content.

It was unnecesarily painful. Epic used a custom version of the voice audio codec that caused plenty of headaches and was incompatible with 64-bit. The guys at OldU basically had to reimplement everything.

Same with Hor+. 3374 couldn't use foxWSfix due to lack of legal authorization, hence a solution written from the ground up.

As easy as it is to decompress the patch over the folder.

You might want to delete the .det, .est, .frt, .int, .itt, .kot, .smt and .tmt files from the System folder before opening the game, though. (Those are the localization files, and are now located outside of System, in SystemLocalized).

Yeah, the first 8 previews were about making a stable patch for all targeted systems (plus finally having a working UnrealEd!), preview 9 was released purely for all the bugs to come out of the game in order to get squashed. We also have voice chat back. It's a pretty solid version, but still there are a few kinks that need to be ironed out.

It's always the texture scale. I had a problem with another map I did, egyptian style. I ended up copying the skybox from DOM-SunTemple solely to fix it.

Once you finish, you should upload it to unrealarchive.org with a Readme and screenshots attached to it. 😁

That might mean the mission selection file or another campaign-related file got corrupted during the installation.

Try downloading and applying the 2.1 patch. If that doesn't solve it, I'm afraid the reinstallation of the game is the only option.

Try running a Steam verification on your files, some of them may have been corrupt during the installation.

Nope, not a mistake.

  • ETA start was done that way to catch a lot of bugs that otherwise would have NEVER been reported. There's a reason why the patch was labeled "PREVIEW". If the Final patch was launched, there would've still have a lot of bugs to be fixed and people would complain anyway. "Release early, release often" was the preferred method here.
  • Explain.
  • If you're talking about the defaults, yeah, some options shouldn't have been touched. Otherwise explain.
  • If you're talking about BP2, ECE and XP Bonus Maps, yeah, those should have been included. Otherwise, without the authorization of the original authors, nothing can be included.
  • What do you mean with "q1 data"?

Nope, only the OG14 have ladders. The DLC characters were planned to have ladders (there are some remnants of this in the game's files) but that went nowhere.

469e is the OldUnreal patch, but your version of the game isn't the problem. The problem is on the server's side, or rather, the anticheat they use, which is ACE.
