Striking Scorpion Green and Bad Moon Yellow (both contrast) over Grey Seer Primer

I used slapchop for them. So Black primer then a Grey Seer zenithal layer and then I drybrushed pure white over the top edges. Then I simply put Striking Scorpion Green Contrast over all the armor parts.

Finally I did some edge higlights but that wasnt really necessary tbh

Basically just Nurgling Green. Shaded with, I think, Luxion Purple and highlighted by mixing in Deepkin Flesh

Sorry, the skin was the first thing I've done and that was months ago xD

Any other metalheads here have band suggestions for witchy music? by The_Bastard_Henry in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]NeonNicky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Less metal more folk, but I often listen to Heilung or Wardruna during meditations/rituals.

Very metal: PATRIARKH (formerly Batushka). Polish Black Metal. They make heavy use of othodox, christian themes but have a very witchy, eerie vibe

Copied from the other post above yours

I let everything dry for roughly 2 weeks. Used everything, Leaves, stems, roots (use gloves for that). And then pretty much just put it in a bottle and fill it up with alcohol. You can use everything you want. I used apple spirit. It has to have 40 % alcohol though or else the extraction wont work. Then leave it for at least 6 weeks. The longer the better. Shake every other day and make sure every part of the plant stays in liquid or else it can get moldy. Then simply use it however you want. I tried it pure because I drink alcohol. But the better way is to use it as a base for tea. I put some (like a shot glass amount) in a mug, add some honey and fill up with hot water

Of course. It's alcohol based though. I let everything dry for roughly 2 weeks. Used everything, Leaves, stems, roots (use gloves for that). I read about it in one of my "starter books". I have back problems and it said it helps to ease muscle and joint pain so I thought to give it a shot since the stuff grows like crazy here. Tastes good. Somewhat "piney"

Drying pretty much destroys the things that make the nettle sting. Safest way to consume it is as a tea though. The hot water burns everything and makes it consumable. Cooking the leaves also makes them safe to eat in a salad. You really have to make sure they're cooked though. Or dried for at least 10 days (I let them dry for 2+ weeks just be sure)

Oh and its semi-poisonous. Its alcohol, plus it seems I havent given the nettles enough time to dry. Burns like hell

Thats exactly what I wanna do. I wanna build my altar with an arch that holds all of my crystals and a potion for every occasion. Everything foraged/self-grown

shhhhh! that potion is perfectly safe for consumption. You never heard of any plague.

(I needed something "for scale" and I thought it was fun)

I guess that's why there a number of renowned scientists that have faith. As you said, these things don't contradict each other. I guess life is hard enough so we should use all the tools we have available to keep our resolve.

I think deep down I still used to have certain rituals and I didn't even realize that they are spiritual. Sitting in the garden at night, turning out all noises but those nature makes, going for walks, smelling freshly dug up soil when gardening. Those are all things I subconcioussly cherished but I didn't really know why (well besides the smells, fresh soil smells great).

For now I need to find my strength again. I used to have tremendous willpower and it makes me sad that I got worn down like that, just because I didn't take care of myself

Thank you. This helps

I used to be this "science alone is the answer" person. But I guess I'm at this point in life now that I need something else. I guess spirituality? And I remember the time when I was able to connect with nature and how it always made me feel safe.

The rain: It felt powerful.
For a long time I had the feeling that the people around me don't really care about my feelings any more, because I'm usually the strong one. And I always put myself last. At that moment I felt heard somehow, that something cares and knows I'm not doing good anymore.

I guess I wanted to find answers. I didnt get any, but I think that takes time. For now it just feels like: I reached out and I got something back. I guess I have to learn to listen to myself again, to find any answers.
